Like most people in this thread, my answer is DOTA 2. There is enough game there to last me a lifetime; if it wasn't for my cultural curiousity, I don't think I'd even bother playing other video games.
You can only keep 1 game in your life, what would it be?
I had to think really hard about this one, and feel pretty good with Saints Row 2 being the only game in my life.
My head titled a fraction the left and I mouthed a silent "Wha...?"
Assuming I have access to all expansions and such, World of Warcraft would be my choice. I could play that game forever, as long as I had some friends to play it with.
Paper Mario (N64)
I don't what it is about that game, but it's the only one I've gone back and played to completion over a dozen times; and still want to play it more.
Since it's release, Skate 2 has gotten the most play from me to date, I think. The soundtrack could be my life soundtrack, the environment you're thrown into I'd be happy to live in, you have the wonderful Reda keeping you company, and all you ever have to really worry about is skating. There are missions to do if you want, but if you just want to skate, find any old spot to skate or make a spot yourself, you can.
I feel like MOBAs have the depth to keep people going forever, I just have to learn how to play one of them :P
This depends. I'd say World of Warcraft but if this applies to everyone in the world then I'd depend on a whole bunch of other people also choosing World of Warcraft as their one game to play, so in that situation I'd probably be safe and pick either Dark Souls 2 or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Actually I change my mind: Civilization V w/ all the DLC

That's pretty funny. I suppose that would be a common reaction. I based the decision on having a game that I can spend one minute or hours in and have the same amount of enjoyment. A game that every time I go back to, it ends up still being fun and takes up a lot of my time. An open world experience with no shortage of dumb and fun stuff to do. Graphics aside, Saints Row 2 is the best in the series IMO, and fits those requirements for me.
DotA2. I wouldn't call it my favorite game of all time, but considering the 2000 fucking hours I've dumped into it, I'd say there's plenty of replayability there.
I'm glad I'll never be in this situtation again, but I'd have to go with WoW because it was the only game I played for 6 years and I enjoyed it completely, It's constantly evolving and there is always something to do. Anything else I'm sure I'd get very bored of and just stop playing video games altogether.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, because if it was the only game I could devote time to at all, I could probably get professional at it. That, and the character roster would serve as a stark reminder of all the games that I'll never be able to play again. I'll see Arthur and get depressed that I can't even look at Ghouls'n Ghosts for the Genesis as long I'm alive. That's fun.
@radleyduder: I should have got skate 2 last week on 360. Every time it comes up 3.74 I turn it down.
One game is hard but if i have too choose, path of exile. Infinite builds to try out and with the expansions this game will still be relevant in time.
Even though I don't play it anymore, I would say World of Warcraft. For me, leveling to max level with every character and maybe every race. End game stuff. I could definitely keep busy with that game for years to come.
