I've not done a blog in a while – indeed, this is my first for 2012 – and I'm going to get back into the swing of things with a design. While it's probably going to be obvious what my inspiration was, those who came in late can catch up with all the awesome awesomeness here.
Hot Dog Patrick
Now if you put that on a shirt, I would buy it in seconds. Honestly one of my favorite moments from any video so far in my short history on giantbomb. It looks pretty effin' sweet.
If only he was a real hot dog.Hm...... the prospect of a hot dog video game player intrigues me. Actually, now I can only think of Will Ferrell's Harry Caray... "If you were a hot dog, would you eat yourself? I know I would"
Awesome work as always, buzz_clik. As a couple of others have said, I'd definitely be all over a T-shirt with this image on it.
Unfortunately, the smile is a bit too wide for me to want to wear it as a shirt, but I absolutely love the design! With that smile, though, he makes a better game character than a cool shirt guy.
@Sooty: Are you kidding? If I had this on a shirt, I would wear it EVERY DAY.
Of course, this comes from a guy who wears a Robocop shirt at least once a week, so I'm not the best judge of fashion.
Seriously, make it a shirt. I hate all the shirts on the store so if this was on there I'd buy it in an instant. Fucking dope.
@buzz_clik: Are we safe to assume there will soon be a red shirt in the Whiskey Media store? Should help silence all those "No more black with graphic!!!!" haters...
Edit: And it seems I'm not alone with my hopes! I say that and I'm currently sporting my "I'm a Wizard" shirt!
When I first saw the work-in-progress pics of this, I figured it was supposed to evoke an attitude-riffic fast food mascot of the 90s. Like with "Turbo Dogs" or "Mega Weinerz" written underneath, stamped on paper bags or styrofoam cups full of potentially fatal processed junk. It's awesome either way though.
Actually, the 90s mascot thing easily covers games too. I could see this being the boxart to something like "Proactive Pat-Dog vs. Professor Precarious!" for the Sega Mega Drive.
