"17 Again" was good dammit
Except for the abstinence bit, which was understandable with the dad, but not really with the school. Whateves, I really liked the movie, there were some really funny moments, I almost died laughing when they started speaking elvish, that's right elvish. I thought the cast was really great.
And that guy Zach Efron can act, the dude can act, maybe because he looks "pretty" a lot of people didn't even watch him, but I can see him do great things in the future. Hopefully he'll get good roles.
Then again, maybe his killer abs hypnotized me. Still I REALLY recommend you give the movie a shot.

I, at a much younger age, absolutely hated Leonardo Dicaprio just because he seemed, to me, to be a pretty boy with no talent.
Flash a few years later after "Catch Me If You Can", "Blood Diamond", and "The Departed", and I can't help but give the guy his earned respect.
I get the feeling Efron will be the same way. Stuck being tied to tweeny bullshit until he can find himself a part that makes people take him seriously.
How do I put this, it's the kind of movie you watch with your significant other, but the difference with this one is that it was genuinely funny, unlike most movies of this type.

Body of Lies was a great film. I felt the same way about Leo D.
"I too enjoyed it.

I probably would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't seen it with a group of girls. It made the movie unbearable.
I will never see this. Call me ignorant, but I just can't get over the High School Musical bump. It also doesn't seem like my kind of movie.

i hate to say it but....I thought it was pretty god too. I saw it on the plane and was dreading it but it ended up being okay. Zac Efron was fine in it (yes, I can see him doing bigger and better things in the future), and the quirky uncle was a great character. So, yeah, it was actually sort of good.
Why does everyone equate young, handsome Hollywood actors as being people with no talent? Leonardo DiCaprio had both Oscar and Golden Globe nominations to his name before Titanic and even then, he's great in Titanic, so unless you people have seen him in bad films which I haven't, the hate for him is totally undeserved and it's the same with Efron. Just because your little sister want to eat Margherita pizza and chocolate covered strawberries with him, it doesn't mean he's a bad actor. He just hasn't had the roles to prove himself that well yet.
along with thomas lennon, i'm hearing greater things about Zac in this film. I plan on renting it when I return Being John Malkovich and Watchmen to the Blockbuster (both great movies)
Sorry, I will never watch it. It's not just Zach Efron. It's the movie itself. The idea of it is a little dumb, and even if it is a good idea, it just doesn't fit him.
I just can't watch anything with him in it, i don't see what the big hype about Zac Efron is, also this film didn't really catch my attention
A movie where Matthew Perry goes back to school as his younger Zac Efron-esque self! You had me at Matthew Perry!

My little sister wants to eat Margherita pizza and chocolate covered strawberries off Zac Efron, can I hate him now? questionnable acting talent aside.

Kids are singing, love interests and such. The plots differ yes, but the theme is the same from what i can recon.

I also hated Brad Pitt for the same reason until I saw Fight Club and Snatch (and maybe 12 Monkeys). They're now some of my favorite actors.
As for 17 Again, I actually thought it looked kinda funny and wouldn't mind seeing it. I want to like Zac Efron as an actor, but I can't as long as HSM is popular.
