Agh!

So I just wrote up a pretty nice Dead Space review, if I do say so myself. It was all finished up, and I was editing in the screenshots with captions. However, just as I click on the last pic to caption it, Firefox randomly decides to crash. No biggie, I thought to myself, as I restored my previous session. I'd had this happen before, and I had the text copied incase something would go wrong. However, when I rightclick, I notice the fucking paste option is grayed out. Look, I know nobody cares about user reviews, and I'm just whining, but I spent quite a bit of time on that review trying to make it into something that has quality to it. And now I've lost it. Yet again, as the review editor this site has tends to fuck me over a lot. Anyway, I've lost my frustration now. But damn man.

Which is why I write everything in notepad (or textedit, rather, as I'm on a Mac) and then paste it onto the site.

They are working on a new text editor, but it's a big job, and will be a while off. Until then, just write things in notepad before copying it into the GB text editor.

It's not enough to just copy your review to the clipboard; you should be pasting it somewhere safe just in case the clipboard gets cleared somehow or you accidentally copy something else.

You shouldn't be writing reviews in a browser anyway. Microsoft Word was made for a reason.

You were not meant to write game reviews. Get back to mcdonalds.

As said write it in a word document, save it, then copy it to Giant Bomb. Otherwise you are asking for something bad to happen.

I write in word, and save frequently. Notepad is fine, but I like the built in spell check and all of the other shit that Word lets you do.

Same stuff happened to me when trying to add images to my Left 4 Dead review. FireFox just decided to do it TWICE in a row until I finally got it today.

this has happened to me a bunch of times dude, you just gotta stick with it and make lots of backups as you write =)

Yeah, you learn by your mistakes, even if they weren't really yours.

Yeah, guess I'll use Openoffice from now on to write my reviews.

One more thing though; what's the code to quote stuff?

That sucks but you should probably write the review in word or notepad before you post it so you can't lose it.

That would piss me off man. When I did my reviews, I always typed them in Word or something and then copied them into the browser. I would recommend doing that now.

Well, I finally put up that review. It's not all that great though. :(

As other have said write it in a text editor like Word or Notepad. It is the wisest thing you can do.
