For those of you who did watch the Inauguration yesterday, or at least a part of it, Bishop Gene Robinson had been cut out of the inauguration. Now there were sound difficulties, so not that many people understood what he said, but this was live footage in which HBO had cut him off entirely. They couldn't have known there were problems with audio (I call conspiracy).

Now if you don't know who Bishop Gene Robinson is, he is the first openly gay Episcopal Bishop who was invited en lieu of the Warren invitation. If you want to see his prayer, you can find it HERE.

For shame HBO, for shame. Show us Bruce Springsteen but don't even show an awesome speech?! Pathetic, both Springsteen and what HBO did.

EDIT: Here's a little fun fact. During Gene's ordination, he had to wear a kevlar vest. There's no hate like Christian hate.
ÉDIT: Third time reading speech, third time I have been moved to tears.

Well I like to come off as an intolorant for music. Very specialised, and I don't like his fusion of country and rock (But not quite Southern Rock), it seems too forced.

Well let's see. He was raised religious, but was gay. The two aren't mutually exclusive. In fact, you can be a Christian and love gays.
The fact that the spotlight is on the crazies who think gays are the downfall of society has warped your perception.

hahaha, yo dude you're always jumping to conclusions and assuming things. i never said anything bad about gays, just that being a gay christian makes no sense. And i know that if you are a Christian, you should love EVERYONE. i was just pointing out the fact the being gay is a direct contradiction to being a christian. the bible is loaded full of things that say its wrong. i have several gay friends, and gay relatives to, so my perception hasn't been warped by anyone. seriously man, if anyone is quick to judge on here, it is YOU.
but anyways, this is the reason i don't care much for religion anymore. too complicated and weird to ever make any real sense. one day people will look back on the bible the same way we do now on greek mythology.

No, you made it sound that the two cannot be together. I have made no reference to any Anti-Gay rhetoric you never said.
I'm just pointing out that some Christians can be gay, are gay, and will be gay. Same for all religions. Plus I suggest you watch "The Bible Tells Me So", shocking things to learn.

also, i totally missed the inauguration. was it as special as they were trying to make it out to be? its so silly man. i heard they had this huge expensive party with celebrities afterward too? that just seemed ridiculous. i was working all day, and when i got home i watched the steelers game. wanted to watch it but o well, doesn't really seem that important to me. when washington did it, he just waved his hand and that was that.

no i didn't make it sound like anything. i said it didn't make sense to me that someone could be a gay christian. i don't care for christianity so this was clearly a question. and i could care less about that show because i don't care for the bible. i went to a catholic high school, thats all it took to assure me that religion was full of shit.
and sure some christians can be gay and are and will whatever. i'm just saying it clearly contradicts the bible, everything the entire religion is based upon.

The Bible tells you to love everyone. Not hate on anyone. But that's not the point.  Snipzor! Not everyone is in love with Jazz Fusion. I personally don't like Gangsta Rap, but when 50 Cent gets on stage during my shows, I change the station, not get pissed off and call the station pathetic. Not everyone loves listening to the Bishop's speeches. Springsteen was a big part of Obama's campaign, it's only fitting that he got the air time. And for the people like you who would rather hear the speech: It's online for you to see.

A gay Bishop? Are you fucking kidding me, Catholicism becomes more of a joke every day, it's a shame the religion didn't die when the sick priests molested all those children.

Conspiracy? How about the fact that people would rather watch one celebrity (Springsteen) celebrate the election of another celebrity, instead of hearing some speech by a guy nobody has heard of.

The entire point of the parenthesis is to denote an obvious sarcastic rebutal to one's own point highly sarcasticly. Similar to the ending sentence, but no rebutal, only facetious instead of sarcastic. I am shocked that nobody got it.

I've heard of him, it was a pretty big deal. It caused a schism within the Episcopalian Church.

I love all of his stuff because I am just from New Jersey, but there is no way you can hate the album Born to Run or songs like "Atlantic City" or "Nebraska". That is real stuff there.

I had a friend and an older gentleman who preached in an Episcoplaian Church part time, dentist full time (retired). I asked him about the developments that had come from this bishop. He played politics with me and didn't answer my question of how do you feel about it. Denial and free well is a scapegoat for all.
