Basketball banning sounds pretty dope.

Came close enough. Even to the point where Jeff Gerstmann himself sent me a PM himself. I didn't care enough at the time so I deleted it.

Actually, new users to giantbomb start out "banned" and have access only to a restricted part of the forum. They simply don't know it.
Eventually, however, if you post well and one of the many, anonymous "recruiters" takes note of you, you may be promoted to have access to "GiantBomb Elite", or Real Giantbomb, where every post that is made is narrated by William Shatner and Morgan Freeman, you can play games like Crysis in-browser (even on poor rigs) and cake is mailed to you once a month.
