How did you find out about Giant Bomb?

I was on holiday in europe and was spending a lot of time traveling, I had my PSP and at the time I would check Gamespot every few weeks to see if there was any news on my favourite franchises. I downloaded The Hotspot on my PSP (This was a few months after Jeff had left) and in the comments someone said something retarded like, "come to giantbomb.com its  da bombbbbb". So I started listening to the Giant Bombcast on my PSP through it's RSS feed feature, and signed up for the site when I got home from Europe.

In the chat of the E3 2009 live stream somebody mentioned giantbomb and how they had awesome E3 podcasts, the podcast happened to be one of my favorite ones E3 day 3 I think and I've been hooked on the website ever since.

My friend told me about the Persona 4 Endurance Run. I thought it was great and he also told me about all the QL stuff they're doing which I thought was really cool, so I started coming here more and more often.

I found out about it through the whole GS controversy thing. I joined the website way back then but didn't really use it at all until a couple of weeks back, I don't see why because the website is great!

I used to follow Gamespot loads; including on the spot. After the Kane and Lynch thing and the On the Spot saying goodbye to Jeff I was like WTF. I kept following cause I didn't really have anywhere else to go, I slowly watched my favorite staff members disappear from the site (Ryan, Brad, Vinny, Alex, Rich (he left a lot earlier for different reasons, as we all know), etc.). When I found out about Giant Bomb from some comments on an On the Spot and the Kane and Lynch review I jumped right on, back when it was still a blog and the arrow pointing down podcast was going on. It was awesome, and seeing how far they've gone since and how much further they will go makes me very happy. I loved the how to build a bomb videos as well. :D

Various threads on Jeff's departure from GameSpot and the fallout afterwards.

I got Persona 4 as soon as it was released in Europe(March 2009).  Finished it in a month and went on the Persona 4 forum on GameFAQs.  Saw a topic about the endurance run.  The endurance run was at 35th-40th episode.  Watched from the beginning to that point, loved it and followed the Endurance run to completition.  Also checked out some of the other stuff and started listening to the Bombcast.  So Persona 4 and the Endurance Run first made me aware of Giant Bomb.

Was into Gamespot way back, but was starting to notice a lot of people leaving, Rich Gallup, Greg Kasavin, Carrie Goukous etc. Then when Jeff left, who was definitely amongst my favourite of the staff I followed his personal blog, then of course, Giant Bomb. Gamespot is probably still a great site but I have no connection to the personel there at all, so GiantBomb, which already had many people I was familiar with, and appreciated, took the mantle and it's been that way ever since.

Funnily enough, it was from Jeff's review of Soul Calibur IV, stuck around ever since I watched it and I haven't looked back.

I think I saw Jeff or Ryan on the Bonus Round ages ago. The iPhone app video was the first thing I saw on this site, GB has been my homepage ever since.

After the mass exodus from GS, I got curious as to what ever became of the people who left, so I googled Jeff Gerstman (being a fellow Petaluma native) and stumbled on the blog. I've been with it ever since.

Well I wonder if the original people (such as myself) still use GB and visit as often.

I actually wondered what happened to Jeff post GS. 
So I went out back with my blackboard, wrote a bunch of names on it, stuck a bottle about 30 paces away on a table. 
I read each name and threw the stone. If it hit..i tried the website address. 
 
After that i typed Jeff's name into google and found the blog. Followed it from there to the arrow pointing down podcast etc etc etc.

I cant remember.

I was a fan of their work at Gamespot and stopped visiting the site after Jeff's firing and the exodus of many of my favorite contributors but I kept up with Jeff and Ryan on their blogs and the Arrow Pointing Down podcast.

I knew about it since its blog days but never bothered visiting it. I came back when Jeff appeared on the Talkradar podcast and thought "Why not?". So I checked it out and I didn't know that Ryan, Brad, and Vinnie were also on this site. It was awesome it reminded me of Gamespots heyday. Been checking in ever since.

Friends were talking about in an xbox live party.

i heard about it when i was on gamespot.com jeff got fired and one day people were saying that jeff is making a new site. i joined it continued on gamespot until i got banned. now i am here posting.

Heard about Giantbomb from /r/gaming on reddit.
