I've got the opposite problem.  It dropped to 25 degrees last night, and we had piles of snow as recently as last Thursday.  Right now, I'm envious of anybody complaining about the heat.

@trophyhunter: Get a better AC, if you can.  How big is your house anyways?  Is it one of those windows AC units?  I used to have a window AC unit, I think it was 6000BTU, could make a whole room like 60 degrees on a 95+ day.  Now we have central air, the coolness level just depends on how much money we want to waste and what we set the thermostat at.

I agree, summer is broken. I miss winter already, seems like spring just mysteriously vanished this year.

lol, It gets surprisingly hot in California, if you aren't near the coast then you're going to get fried.

Winters are awesome though, very mild.

This guy has the right idea. Summer is the ideal time for playing video games. Don't let a little heat and sunshine slow you down. Lather those babies up!

I love/hate summer. It's nice and all but.....it's way easier to warm up in the winter rather than cool down in the summer.

I don't even remember, I got it in 1998 or something, gave it away in like 2003.  Couldn't have been more than $600, but probably was a good deal less.  Could get it even cheaper now probably.

@trophyhunter: Don't be a bitch. It's 98 degrees here in Phoenix with probably about 70% humidity.

Gets to be about 110 with 70% humidity once the monsoons roll around.

You guys suck.

I live on the water.  In addition, getting to a private beach is a two minute walk away.

The temperature year around usually stays above 15 degrees Fahrenheit (this is what I would call extreme) and usually stays below 90 degrees Fahrenheit (which is fairly extreme for us).   Even when it reaches around 90 degrees, it doesn't really matter because we have really nice breezes that come in.

It has been years since I used an air conditioner.  I think that last time I did was in 03.

@Godwind: Yes, I realized that. Lucky man. I have always loved beach houses and my parents have been close to buying one. With the economy how it is now, it is an opportune moment to jump in and buy.

EDIT - happy 3500 posts. W00t.

Come on man, you gotta love the summer. The pool's open for swimming, the nights are longer, and if you're in school you have much more time for games.

How could anyone possibly hate summer? The sun is out all day. School is out. You can hang out with your friends every day. How could you be sad in the summer time?

I am not really a fan of summer either . In fact winter is my favorite ; There is something so peaceful about winter that is hard to describe  .

I love cold weather and I absolutely despise hot weather. Here in Jacksonville, FL we got about 2 weeks of actual winter, or atleast winter by Florida standards. It reached mid 40s and that was it. That was our winter. In January we where already getting temperatures of 80 degrees. I hate Florida and I sympathize with you, my only advice is to get a good fan.

Here in Australia, during summer it was hitting about 45 degrees celsius for ages. Our power kept going out too because people were using too much aircon. We had to spend Christmas Eve without power until late the next day. :(

I love summer!  High school girls wear the skimpiest outfits yet!  :D

Sucks for you though. :(

I know what it's like...I got no AC at my apartment either.
