After watching Saw 1 - 5, I must say I was highly disappointed. The first Saw had some real promise, but then each sequel after that was just horrible. The best part of the movie for me was Jigsaw himself, but that was pretty much it. And the scary parts weren't even that scary. I laughed most of the time at the people being stuck in the traps. The only reason I decided to watch this was because all my friends have watched Saw, and was saying how scary and gross it was. All I saw was a promising first movie that failed to gather a plot, and downhill sequels that just wanted to show how many new traps and bad gore effects they could show off.
What do you guys think of the series?
Just finished watching the Saw Movie Series.
I like the idea of Jigsaw as a character with his twisted sense of morality and wanting to teach people to appreciate what they have, but the overall story is just so... meh. They're gore-nography flicks with no actual scares or edge-of-your-seat-i-ness. That said I didn't mind the first and second Saws, the twist at the end of the second was pretty cool. The third saw was okay but nothing great and the ending was really predictable even if the opening scene purposely tries to be misleading (the way she says "I want a divorce" to the person she's talking to is not the tone anyone would use in that situation, for example).
Saw 3 is what I consider to be the end of the series and haven't watched any since -- Jigsaw is dead. The end.
the 5th is almost unwatchable. They made the worst mistake they could be trying to focus on a story nobody, and i mean nobody, cared about.
I like the first one a lot though.
I've only seen 1-4. I watched them almost right after each other cuz I loves them so much! 3 was the worst probably tho.
Never watched saw, and probably never will. I have however seen Seven and I liked it. Also, if your lookin for decent serial killer movies I would recomend the Hannibal Series (silence of the lambs, red dragon hannibal rising...) or in TV Show format, the Dexter series.
" @TinoXtreme: Why do you hate yourself? "Because you touch yourself at night. =P j/k

The movie Se7en was awesome. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman were really good in that movie, and the whole plot line on the seven deadly sins was real cool. I've only seen Silence of the Lambs and it was pure awesomeness. I also want to try the Dexter series, I just have to get the seasons off my friend to watch 'em.
Actually, Saw is a great series. I think the story goes back and forth way too much, but the story isn't entirely bad either once you get it all sorted out. Although lots of people say you either love Saw, or you hate it. I personally love it (as you can tell) and am looking forward to Saw 6. If you don't like it, then no big deal, it's an easy franchise to avoid.
I watched the first one and it didn't really have any gore in it at all. It wasn't scary either. I only liked it because I kept laughing at the parts that were supposed to be scary or sad, so much bad/awkward acting haha. Then around the end I thought hey that's pretty cool, but suddenly it just played the credits and never resolved anything, obviously because they planned to keep making more saw movies. I heard they're trash compared to the first one, and because the first one is trash then they must be terrible.
