I know that some of you don't care about Metacritic and some of you do and, all of us here on GiantBomb probably thought that this movie is going to suck. I just wanted to show you guys the laughably bad Metacritic score this movie currently has. As I'm posting this right now there are only seven reviews for it thus far. Who knows, maybe it will get better.........or worse.

But the Spiderman movies were of a quality deserving their good scores. You can hate one or two critics...but when overwhelming response to a movie is bad...its bad.
C'mon, this doesn't come as a surprise. This movie looks like utter dogshit on celluloid made purely to fuel the masturbatory fantasies of simpletons. I wouldn't be so offended by it's existence if it was made with it's tongue firmly stuck in it's cheek like DOA was, but for all intents and purposes this looks like it's trying to be serious. Kristen Kreuk is a terrible actress and I hope this ruins her career to the point she has to star in porn. Plus, it's 2009. People should know better now than to trot out this insult. At least back when the original Street Fighter flick was made, they were breaking new ground and didn't quite know how to approach it. The studios should have years of experience in adapting things from comics and video games without it being fully retarded. I don't mind stuff being half retarded, but this flick looks fully retarded. I don't usually put much merit to Metacritic, but if it talks like a duck, walks like a duck and everybody points at it and calls it a duck. It's a fucking duck!

I thought the first Mortal Kombat flick was a valiant effort. It was pretty close to the source material, Goro looked good and had parts that were genuinely entertaining and not just fun because you could riff on them.
Since Smallville has been renewed for a 9th season, I wonder if she'll be back when her movie-star dreams are crushed. But being as cute as bunny isn't enough to save this turkey when the script, and approach to the franchise, is so bad. Better luck next time, Kristin.

The reason why this, and every other videogame related film will always suck is because they try and make it suitable for a mainstream audience, however they never change it enough so that every day normal folk can like it, but those changes are still way to much for the die hard game fans to get any pleasure out of it.

Haw haw, you're right. That was kinda harsh. But the girl seriously should go back to modeling. I've caught a few episodes of Smallville and she has the emotional ranged of a coma victim. Beautiful girl, but acting ain't her forte.
And as I stated earlier, I'm insulted by this dogshit getting trotted out. Again, I wouldn't mind it if it came out in the quagmire of shit that was adapted from comics and videogames in the 90's. But this is ridiculous. The movie doesn't even sound like it would be funny to riff on in the vein of Double Dragon, Super Mario Bros or In The Name Of The King.
Oh yeah, when it comes to the Uwe Boll hate, I gotta give the guy a little credit. Postal wasn't Gawd awful. I have to disagee. As someone who's seen all episodes of Smallville to date multiple times, I have to say she is quite a good actor. As for the actual movie, it probably is going to be bad, but doesn't mean it can't be entertaining.

The only good thing was that they kinda kept it in the far north for the VA's in the Japanese dub over... (far north as in the Netherlands) Other than that, this is the only thing Capcom Failed on during the rebirth of the SF franchise...
