Hey, I want to know what people genuinely accomplished today! (whatever today is in your current temporal coordinates)

I personally

  • Caught up on some much needed sleep
  • Cooked a nice breakfast for myself
  • Figured out some problems that I was having getting analog sticks to work in this game I'm working on (more problems arose of course, but progress continues)
  • Won 2 out of 3 games in a LoL tournament. We are competing for 4th place on Wednesday.
  • Applied to be a CA at GDC next year, which gets you free admission in exchange for volunteering.
  • Determined that I might injure myself playing a chord progression that I came up with, but I'm going to practice it anyway.

Pretty slow day really, what did you guys do today?

Are you being considerate of Lunar conditions? I don't think I'd be able to remember everything I've done in what you'd consider a month.

Well, if you don't remember doing something it probably wasn't very important. You have to scale the items on your list your list by time-frame. Like a minimap.

I got much better at StarCraft II. That's pretty much it.

#5 Posted by SMTDante89 (2163 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

I had a Rock Band 3 party for my residents at my college dorm. Advertised it really well, but there wasn't a big turn out. However, I (and the other Resident Assistant on duty with me this weekend) didn't let it get us down and the few residents that did show had a lot of fun, which is what's really important. Now I'm on duty, looking through the two buildings I work in and assisting any resident that requires it and looking to see if everything's working properly around the buildings.

#10 Posted by EVO (3508 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

I just ate some KFC.

#11 Posted by project343 (2652 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

Worked a 9 hour shift. Then relaxed and played video games.

#12 Posted by FollowSmoke (39 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

I played some Madden 12, which pisses me off because I was supposed to really put a dent in Batman: AC before Uncharted 3 comes out. Other than that, I caught up on some Daily Shows and slept in. I didn't leave the house once today. Good stuff.

#13 Posted by nintendoeats (5970 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

@FollowSmoke: I went out to the car to get my MP3 player. Does that count as leaving the house?

#14 Posted by Brunchies (2484 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

Went to a couple haunted houses, played some vidja games and ate a shitload of candy and met a friend and played some lazer tag.

#15 Posted by TehFlan (1944 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

Went to a ridiculous photo shoot, got some homework done, and carved Link's face into a pumpkin.

#16 Posted by amomjc (977 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago
  • Shoveled my Driveway/Sidewalk
  • Took care of my Daughter (a job of it's own)
  • Cleaned up the house and did around 19 loads of laundry (backed up)
  • Played Rocksmith
  • Finally achieved L85 on my Paladin in World of Warcraft

Yup, that's about it so far. I wish I could catch up on some sleep.

#17 Posted by Th3_James (2537 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

Sleep, install new outdoor and indoor light fixtures, played bf3, watched some shit...That's about it.

#18 Posted by Lukaz (181 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

I FINALLY completed the Computer Architecture assignment that I have been struggling to complete over the past few days. It was because of one piece of information that I misinterpreted as a result of the assignment pdf's windowing... I also had some real good perogies. I love perogies.

#19 Posted by Redbullet685 (5738 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

Did nothing really. I played a fuck ton of PS3 and listened to old bombcasts.

#20 Posted by Animasta (12758 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

get done? I finished some dumb sociology paper and tried to memorize katakana (I just finished memorizing hiragana sensei ;_;) I also saw the rum diary which wasn't that great.

#21 Edited by Kyreo (4594 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

@nintendoeats I'm sure you already noticed, my friend, but I gave my day over almost completely to Civilization V. I've put about and additional 12 hours into that game this weekend.

Though, I brushed up on some literature and poetry. Did some research and reading. Good stuff. I should have worked more on a paper I have due on wednesday but whatever.

#22 Posted by SecretOrigin (6 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago
  • Got up about 11:45 am.
  • Got caught up on reading some comics.
  • Got drunk.
  • Put power steering fluid in the car, got new wipers, new stereo, and replaced the speakers I'd blown out.
  • Made Cranberry Sauce from scratch.
  • Tried unsuccessfully to make a good cup of coffee.
  • Bought some in-box dreamcast games off Amazon.
#23 Edited by TheFreeMan (2686 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

-Discovered the coolness of David Bowie and The Hold Steady. Listened to Under Pressure approximately 45 times (although that pretty much happens every day).

-Finished off a little anthropology assignment. continued to procrastinate on my english assignment due on monday. it's not that big either, though.

-deluded myself into thinking that english assignment isn't that big.

-ate some goddamn eggos. haven't done that in a long time.

-bought symphony of the night on XBLA since it was only 400 points and i've never completed it and it's halloween time and i can dig the appropriateness of that game.

-played some of the most hilariously bad/awesome matches of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 with my brother. x-factor dark phoenix vs. x-factor Akuma GO

-then we managed to crash and burn spectacularly in horde mode in Gears 3. we are not prepared to do this on our own.

-am currently preparing to watch Attack The Block with the family.

-after that i'll watch the original dawn of the dead for the first time. that might be tomorrow morning, though, i guess.

so pretty much nothing.

Proofreaded an awful, awful "collaborative essay" assignment.

Fixed a bomb-ass lunch consisting of my manly Italian Stallion Sandwich.

Joined an Occupy Tuscaloosa protest today. Lasted about 2 hours or so.

#25 Edited by Deathshroud (324 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

I slept in.

Made bread and lunch for the next week at work.

Went to the shooting range with a few of my friends.

Played some Dark Souls and got no where.

Now waiting for Dungeon Defenders to download

While waiting I am drinking some wine.

#26 Posted by MikkaQ (9709 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

I just went shopping today, got some winter boots, some new gloves, a sweater, some boxers, some socks, and a fly new hat. I haven't shopped in my city's big fashion district in months, since I moved to the suburbs. It's pretty impossible to find clothes up there, it's all wal-mart or just typical mall bullshit, nothing of quality.

Then I ate a couple meals with my family who I hadn't seen for a few weeks.

Now I'm just waiting for this sleeping pill to kick in and get some Zzzzzzs

#27 Posted by Claude (15850 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

I had my last show today. No more Van Helsing in Dracula. It was a fun show if not a little challenging. I really enjoyed being Van Helsing.

#28 Posted by karatetron (653 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago
  • I slept in, which I rarely get to do
  • Bought Arkham City
  • Went out with a bunch of friends
  • Listened to this week's bombcast

So, pretty much nothing.

#32 Posted by Xtrememuffinman (958 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

Worked- in the dark. The snowstorm brought down the power at Staples, and we actually had to use flashlights to move freight out. Luckily, I was supposed to leave in an hour, so I didn't really do to much. Still, ridiculousness. Oh, and then I had to dig out my car and drive home in the storm.

Played Mass Effect 2.
Watched the episode of Survivor I missed.
Perused the internet. Still playing catch up on Quicklooks.
Ate very, very poorly.

#33 Posted by Dany (7877 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

I've been trying to knock out all my uni papers/assignments. There is no way I'm distracting myself with something as banal as schoolwork when Skyrim comes around.

#37 Posted by Aarny91 (3857 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

Uhhh...

Nothing really.

Spent seven hours behind a concession stand trying to avoid being dragged into the feud of two employee couples.

#41 Posted by Fajita_Jim (1463 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

-Got up but couldn't wake up, so I took a walk. Ended up 2 miles down the road at a friends house.
-Walked back and made a yummy breakfast for myself: sausage, gravy, biscuits and scrambled eggs.
-Did the dishes
-Did the laundry
-Cleaned the floors
-Did some PC maintenance (dusted the old girl out, cleaned some folders out, defrag)
-Spent an hour positioning my antennae (I cut the cable, never anything on anyway) so I get all 16 OTA channels without having to move it around. BTW, Qubo Night Owl is the shit.
-Cooked dinner (pinto beans, mexican cornbread, fried potatoes and macaroni&cheese)
-Cleaned the fridge a bit and threw some shit out, making room for the leftovers.
-Did the dishes again.

Saturdays suck so I usually get quite a bit of housework done.

#42 Posted by mylifeforAiur (3408 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago

  • Watched the latest episode of An Idiot Abroad.

Work is going to continue doing the pruning, mow the lawns, clean the bathroom and get the garbage out(thats nothing, really).

#49 Posted by laserbolts (5117 posts) - 1 year, 6 months ago
