I was going to do a poll but there are too many parties to consider. Personally im not going to vote for the big parties, i hate what labour has done in he last 10 years. The cons and lib dems are not worth considering as well. So ive decided to vote for an independent party. Eventhough i will be wasting my vote, i just dont care about politics anymore.
Who are voting for in the UK general election
Probably voting Lib Dem. Predicting that we'll be having a hung parliament with Tories and Lib Dems forming a coalition.
I don't see any point in voting outside of the big two, as that's basically wasting a vote. That's not the way the system should work, but that's how it goes. Therefore I shall be voting for the lesser of two evils, the Conservatives.
I hope labour is removed from office - Their plans to essentially spend thousands of would be tuition fees to give gormless, unemployed, retarded, uneducated chavs super fast fibre optic broadband that 99% of the country doesn't have in the first place in an effort to "bridge the digital divide" are just....... wrong. I'm sorry, but labour lives in some parallel universe where this is considered to be building "a future fair for all".
I would like the lib dems to win. They actually seem like a competent party. One that won't act as callously as the third reich.
" I don't see any point in voting outside of the big two, as that's basically wasting a vote. That's not the way the system should work, but that's how it goes. If people who agreed with the Lib Dems actually voted for them, then goddamn they might actually get somewhere for once.
I wish the Lib Dem's had a chance of getting in. The economy is the most important issue at the moment - and Vince Cable has the best plans of the economy. Unfortunately - there is absolutely no chance of the lib dem's getting in, so it would be pointless voting for them.
So that leaves the Tory's or Labour. And quite frankly, I think if the conservatives get in they'll drag us right back into the depths of recession. George Osborne hasn't got a clue what he is talking about in regards to the economy. He is talking complete trash. And Alistair Darling has done a good job with the economic recovery so far - our economy is growing faster than any other European country. So yeah, it seems Labour are the best option at the moment. I'll be voting for them.
UKIP probably, not that there's any point with our voting system.
Lib Dems hand-wringing over the nuclear deterrent prevents me voting for them. David Cameron and George Osborne (Conservatives) shouldn't be trusted to run a bath, let alone the country. I don't mind Gordon Brown as Prime Minister, but Labour have made it far too easy for people not to work - there are many people earning more from benefits than others earn from working a full time job, which is disgusting.
"Unfortunately - there is absolutely no chance of the lib dem's getting in, so it would be pointless voting for them. "This is a self-fulfilling prophecy and only true because people keep repeating it ad nauseum. Labour and Conservative want everybody to keep thinking this because it subverts the system and protects their duopoly.
If everybody displayed a little more moral fortitude and actually voted how they wanted to vote, rather than trying to second guess everybody else, then the election system would work and the Lib Dems would have as much chance as anybody else.
Glad to see there's no Tories in here.
Lib Dems for me, although I get the feeling I'd be throwing a vote away but if everyone else votes that way...*hint hint*
I disagree with the idea the Lib Dems have no chance. The chances of it becoming a hung parliament is pretty big, so the party who wins (Either Cons or Lab) will choose a coalition. They will undoubtedly choose lib dems because they would not choose the other one. Lib Dems is not a throwaway vote, they have the biggest chance of getting into parliament in a very long time, all they need is a large number of seats which the winner could use to make the majority.
Otherwise I'll probably vote Lib Dems, will see what they all say in their propaganda sent through my door.
As a political scientist [hehe] I would certainly say that Conservatives will win this election. There is enough of a national sentiment that New Labour have made too many mistakes, and that the government needs to change.
Personally, I'll by voting for the Collectivist Scholarly Ninja Party. I am the only member, and I will be happy to share my foodstuffs with myself.
But on a serious note, its gonna have to be a vote for New Labour for me. They aren't socialist enough for my tastes, but they will 'do'.
" I don't see any point in voting outside of the big two, as that's basically wasting a vote. That's not the way the system should work, but that's how it goes. Therefore I shall be voting for the lesser of two evils, the Conservatives. "If enough people vote against the 2 major parties, in smaller parties and especially independents, then the 2 major parties will no longer be the major parties. They have maintained the boy's club for far too long and it is time for a major political change. Vote Green. Don't vote BNP. Bring back The Raving Lunatic Party.
I will be voting conservative. I am from a working class backround and my dad has a professional meddle-class job in which Labour have taxed him to hell and back just so they can fund their undereducated, chav underclass that has came into prominince since the start of new Labours rise to power.
It's never been easier for people to work and still have bigger televisions than I do. You see them all the time around council estates. Unemployed people with massive HD televisions and leather sofas. Labours massive benefit culture has taken British culture to a bad place. The tories also are willing to work more with the Scottish devoloution while understanding that the SNP and thir feeble cries for independance is the wrong way to go. A conservative government will tax everybody fairly. Tax the very hard working people of this country less and let the unemployed lay-abouts who cant even be bothered to find jobs know that there is know place for them in our Great Britain.
George Osbourne doesn't seem to fully understand the economy but the front men don't really matter in politics it's the back-stage advisors who really make the decisions and when in the history of modern Britain has our economy really failed due to government fault rather than outside influence. If the economy goes the wrong way its not out chancellors fault. It is due to the world economy which exists these days. So I am not voting for the election manifestos I am simply voting for the classic values of the political parties and in my opinion we need a good shift to the right.
The conservatives will hopefully reduce the power the EU has over us and turn our workforce into an actual workforce again rather than benefit-seekers for whom currently there is no advantage to work.
Also as you could have guessed. I'm Scottish and i'm voting conservative, that's unthinkable.

" I don't know who to vote for really. Labour fail, Conservatives Im not sure about, Lib Dems are too environment focused from what I've read recently and well, maybe Lib Dems probably. I gotta stress though, labour really have got some dumb as **** laws passed while in power. "Then maybe not voting or voting in blank would be better. Since there isn't really anyone worthy of election. And the one who gets there will do a job as crappy as the one before, while funneling their bank account and spending the working class's taxes. Democracy has become redundant.

This is true. I think the lib dems would easily win if it was down to purely people's political preferences. I mean how many people would relish the chance to have a party that isn't as incompetent as labour and isn't the conservatives? Too bad labour massively spew their "VOTING LIB DEM WILL MAEK THE TORIES WIN!!!1one" propaganda. It's probably their election slogan by now.
Seriously, I wish people would stop saying "voting for Lib Dems is a waste of a vote". If we all had a back-bone and actually gave them a chance for once, they might, just might, have a shot.
I'm probably voting Lib Dems, but I feel like we're going to lose whoever wins.
I'm 4 months too young to vote, we're talking about a politician here, they are all hypocrites and liars. I see more maturity on the Gamefaqs forums than in the houses of parliament.... I couldn't care less who gets in, they are all as bad as each other. Maybe when I'm older I will give a shit but if I was standing in front of the polling booth I would only be thinking about how insignificant my vote is. If things go to plan I don't think I will be living in this country in 10 years.
I'm not into politics to know exactly what these people have to offer and considering I cant vote either.
Nobody, but I would like to see the conservatives to rule the country.
