Why are People Unhappy with Alex on Giantbomb?

I'm still not entirely sure why some people seem to dislike Alex Navarro being on Giantbomb, first off before anything else, things change and teams grow. We wouldn't even have Giantbomb if things didn't change at Gamespot. And second of all, Alex writes really well, and his reviews are usually well thought out. I didn't know much of Alex beyond what he does on Screened which is awesome by itself, but doing a little research and seeing how longs he's known the guys, and how much experience in gaming he has under his belt really makes me respect and welcome him into the GB team if he ends up there permanently. People are just so quick to judge or lash out. Alex knows his games, he was at Gamespot with everyone else. Enough for me.

My only low scoring game in Madden was against Alex, nothing but respect for him.

Because people are stupid.

alex is a beast.  although i hope he gets paid a little extra for the things he does on giant bomb aswell as screened

I really like the fact that Alex is on Giantbomb and I was unaware of the so-called "unhappiness" towards him.

I like his work ethic and reviews. I got nothing against Alex.

I know him from the Gamespot days and seeing him there is the "correct" picture for me.
 
I assume 99.9% of the haters came to Giant Bomb via other means, and not from Gamespot.

Whoa, he's not permanently joining GB, unless I missed something. He knows a lot about games though, and they're all good friends. Why throw away the advantage of working in the same office? I like that he helps out on GB sometimes. I've always liked Alex though. I imagine some people have always disliked him.

I just dislike his mannerisms and his smug attitude. Wish him luck though.

Alex was even a regular guest on the podcast before Giant Bomb fully launched and he went to work for Harmonix. He has had involvement since very early on, which makes sense seeing as he worked with them at Gamespot. It shouldn't suprise people that he has appears often on here, especially now that they work in the same building.

I don't mind him writing up reviews or something (although it would help if he had his own cartoon set :)) but personally his voice makes my ears scream for dear, sweet mercy. Nothing against the guy personally, he seems like a nice guy.

I can understand people not liking him. They just don't need to post comments about it. Nobody really cares and when they do, they just look like trolls. This is a minority, mind.

I don't know about the rest of you guys but I think Alex is cool. 

I think he is ok and don't have a problem with him helping out the team because i do find him to be a good reviewer. His opinions i don't agree with a whole lot but hey that's life. I notice that anybody jumping from another team comicvine, animevice or whatever gets some level of heat from some giantbomb members. The only people safe i see is the tested guys.

As a fellow drummist, Alex is infallible in my books.

Alex is awesome, and he fits with the crew.And since when did people hate him?

His humour is different, I guess. 
 
Nice guy though.

I don't really mind him, but sometimes he has a weird attitude (I guess the best way to describe it would be being cynical just for the sake of being cynical) at times that gets on my nerves.  But again, I don't really care, I usually don't mind him at all.

i don't know why, but the comments on the videos/podcasts often seem to possess a negativity that is not seen in the forums.  this thread, for example, seems to indicate that there just isn't much unhappiness directed towards alex standing tall with the rest of the GB guys around here.

People dislike Alex? I think he's awesome.

Alex is a necessary part of the Giant Bomb Team, because without him you wouldn't be able to make the acronym JARBV with their names.
 
A Giant Bomb without JARBV is a cold, dark place.
 
Wait, I meant to say that Alex is good to have around because he's funny and occasionally insightful. JARBV?

I've always had, and still hold, respect for Alex and even if I dislike his contribution to Giantbomb on times, he does share my opinions on a lot of things.
it's just that sometimes he can come off as more annoying than the thing he expresses his annoyance at.  His demeanor can sometimes feel a bit too hostile. 
 
So I appreciate his contribution and I just don't find him very amusing at some times.
Then again I followed Gamespot with this crew so Alex has always been one of this gang to me. Makes me long for a future where Rich Gallup would join them.

Pretty much don't get it. I appreciate it when he does reviews and coverage here once in a while.

He just needs to work on keeping his narcissistic attitude in check. and stating really obvious things. Otherwise he's great, his write ups are usually long and well articulated he is probably the best writer on Giantbomb (ok maybe he and Brad are tied). 

Alex is awesome.  At first I thought he seemed a little condescending.  But he creates good stuff, seems like a fun guy, and plays the drums (woo, fellow musicians).

So he's a frequent guest that appears more than some others to GiantBomb - who cares?  
They work in the same office trying to give us top-notch quality stuff, even if it's not technically within their main department.  
Personally I'd like some more reviews/articles/videos/crazy stuff from Drew or Dave, but Alex is a cool dude too!

Dude helped bring me more Rockband so hey that's pretty cool. He maybe gets a little too excited at times, but whatever, I'm over it. Dude can keep writing reviews and do what he do. Just  don't forget about Matthew Rorie!
