Pure fun from start to finish.
When The Lost and Damned was released I decided to skip it. I didn't really like the setting of it and thought that 1600 MS points was way to expensive for DLC. I was wrong because it is really good, but I am still glad I waited. But that's not the DLC that i'm reviewing. The Ballad of Gay Tony though was a must buy for me as soon as I saw the first trailer and I didn't even care if I would have to pay 1600 points for it. Now when it was released it was put on a stand-alone disc. I couldn't have been happier with that decision and I bought it immidiately. When I started playing it I started with TBoGT and finished it in 2 days and I loved every second of it. Gameplay wise it is exactly like the GTA IV that I know and love. I have heard complaints that it feels dated and clunky but I didn't think that at all, GTA IV still feels great and this DLC is still a blast from start to finish. The story is quite a lot more over the top than than the original and Lost and Damned, but that is probably the reason why I Ioved it so much.
