Hamburger

Object » linked to 264 games

A hamburger is a hunk of ground beef served between two pieces of bun-configured bread. Hamburgers are often served with a variety of toppings and condiments. It is named for the region in which it was invented, not for the kind of meat (as is often mistakenly suggested).

Seeing as how Hamburgers are very popular on this site, How about we each list the very best Burger Joints we've ever been to. and if you feel a particular franchise of a main chain deserves recognition, go ahead. I'll start the Ball. This'll be a great thread for people who eventually visit your city (and love Burgers eh!) Please also list exactly where in the town it is (especially if there's more than one and one of them is particularly better than others). Please let's not turn this into a McDonald's vs Burger King debate :)

Quebec City, QC. Canada

- Chez Victor          [ Saint-Jean street ]
- Le Pub                 [ Laval University Campus ]
- Ashton                 [1st Avenue]

In Wisconsin, the best fast-food burger is at Culver's.  They call them ButterBurgers, and they beat anything else around for the speed and the price.  They started here but are steadily growing and have franchises in many states now.

I also like Dave & Buster's, even though I have to go to Illinois for one.  Assuming you're gonna play the games anyway (yes you are) then you get the Eat & Play combo times 2, and you get a one-pound double cheeseburger (with fries) for $4.  It's not the best burger ever, but I'd consider it above-average and you can't beat the price.

Harvey's (Angus Burger). Holy jumpin'.

Well, the best places to eat a burger:

Meers (When I lived in Oklahoma, it was always a real treat to come eat here. They have some GOOOD burgers)

Wingers (Cajun Burger OMFG)

My House (My dad can make a mean burger)

T.G.I Fridays (been a while since I've eaten here, but I remember they had some good stuff)

Burger King (I'm eating a Whopper with Bacon and Cheese right now as I speak, freaken sweet, but to be eaten in moderation.)

Mcdonalds (2 Cheeseburgers combo, so compact, that I can eat both burgers and be satisfyed without feeling too full)

What-A-Burger (Don't remember anything about this place...besides the fact that I used to go there quite a bit, must mean it was good)

Wendys (Same as What-A-Burger)

Little known fact

You can ask the Double Cheeseburger at McDonald's to be made ''Like a Mac''

The people behind the counter know what this means: they add lettuce and put Big Mac sauce instead of ketchup/mustard which makes it really a Big Mac without a bun in the middle.

Wendys, Checkers/Rallys

I like those smokehouse bacon burgers at Chilis

#36 Posted by JustinNotJason (395 posts) - 4 years, 9 months ago

I'm not really picky but I like
Wendy's Bacon-nator

and Bennigan's used to make good burgers but they're going out of business; well their company is bankrupt and most restaurants are folding so it's imminent.

#37 Posted by lordofultima (6100 posts) - 4 years, 9 months ago

Rally's, Brayz, Hardees

#38 Posted by bigbinner (4 posts) - 4 years, 9 months ago

I live in Michigan and the best fast food burgers are Culvers and Checkers. The best chain restaurant burgers are Chilis and Branns

#39 Posted by Gunde (21 posts) - 4 years, 9 months ago

Best fast-food type hamburgers have to be from Max, a Swedish chain. Their Frisco-burger is really good, also very good is Texas Burger in Kungshallen, Stockholm.

But my true favourite is Valhallagrillen, a local joint that is just too good.

#40 Posted by lord_canti (1185 posts) - 4 years, 9 months ago

theres a place down the road from me called fantastic kabab house.  it makes the best burgers ever :D

#42 Posted by OGCartman (4354 posts) - 4 years, 9 months ago

Arbies!

#43 Posted by Gunnarson (7 posts) - 4 years, 9 months ago

Five Guys all the way. You get a burger the size of a freaking softball, and all toppings are free (except cheese and bacon, I think). Plus all the free peanuts you can eat. Don't even bother ordering fries.

For a sit-down place, Red Robin serves pretty good burgers. I like their Hawaiian one.

#44 Posted by Timothy (54 posts) - 4 years, 9 months ago

Here is Oklahoma City there used to be a burger place called Wiggee's. The two old people who ran the place were jerks to some of the customers, but their burgers were amazing. They also had this crazy mayonnaise that was to die for.
