whoa 3 disks?  to be honest i dont think i would mind swapping disks.  i wonder if there is going to be a game that takes up more than 1 blue ray disk.

I'm guessing the compression on the animation frames for their face tech isn't very good or is non-existant.  Uncompressed animation data takes a ton of space!!!

Suspicions confirmed. Since the textures on people's faces are more like videos than pictures, I expected it to take up quite a bit of space.

Please insert Disc 2, Please re-insert Disk 1, Please insert Disk 3, Please re-insert Disk 2, Please insert Disk 1 on Disk 2.

I don't see why so many of you assume people are lazy. There are plenty of reasons to prefer a single disk over several disks. 

Heh.  Getting up to switch discs after a few hours isn't a huge deal, but this is getting kind of silly.  Microsoft better bite the bullet and get Blu-Ray on the next generation.

I'm not that lazy so swapping discs was never a problem for me. Plus, I prefer playing games on 360 (I just like the controller more), so this doesn't really change anything for me.

I for one don't have the room on my harddrive to install three disks. If that somehow makes me lazy...okay whatever. Some of you guys need to stop being cocks.

I really don't mind getting it on 3 discs. But I'm really tempted to get it on the PS3 because of the added DLC. But I will probably get it on the 360.

This doesn't affect me at all since I can care less about "Disc-swapping" nowadays. I will play this on the PS3 though.

Swapping discs sucks ass. Still, I don't give nearly enough of a shit to switch to the PS3 version.

I was already contemplating getting this for PS3 for the DLC, but not having to swap discs is definitely enough to push me in that direction.

my guess is that the entire city will be accessible on all three disks, but the cutscenes and missions are distributed across them. So you'll only have to switch out for progression, and won't have to swap back and forth unless you want to replay missions a lot.

I prefer multiple discs so I will get it on the 360....switching disc is a novelty that I enjoy.....if it was up to me all games would be required to have multiple discs.

Sweet so now im getting even more for my money, 3 whole disks, lol.  But yea I don't mind changing disks it give me a break to go get some snacks or drinks.

meh I'm still gonna get it for my 360. 3 discs isn't that bad. Although it'll be a different story for me if games start hitting 6+ discs. I only hope that the game isn't too compressed on the 360.

I've never really understood why disc swaps are such a big deal to people. I would totally understand if it meant constantly switching back forth (say a disc for missions, and then swapping a disc for cutscenes and then back again). But this probably means swapping out discs at (assuming typical rockstar game length, and an even distribution of playtime over each disc)  about every 6-8 hours. Is that really that huge of an incovenience?

Maybe is just all the jrpgs I played on the original playstation, but disc swapping has never seemed bad to me.

No biggy, most disc  swapping was needed to be done at a good break in the story. Lets hope if comes out just bug free and playable to the least for both platforms. Can't wait to see the next gen console of Microsoft to finally have Blu-Ray built in. At this point it is an necessity. 

If the game is as fantastic as it's looking so far, I am perfectly fine with some disc swapping.

" It's been something that has been talked about for years, Especially this generation since Sony added blu-ray to their PS3.Fangirls from each side have argued back and forth over the +/- of DVD-9/Blu-Ray and one of the biggest arguements has been about disc space or the need for multiple discs.Multiple discs has been something we as gamers have used without any grumbling for many years now, Infact a game on multiple discs back in psone days was exciting as we assumed the multiple discs ment much greater games in terms of visuals, sounds, gameworlds etc, But now it's seems multiple discs is a big negative, Yes it is more convenient for everything to be on one disc but if we must switch a disc 2-3 times during 15-100hrs of gameplay it probably only adds up to about 1-2mins of time wasted, Me i have no problem with reaching over and switching discs i just did it last night for dead space 2.I would argue that blu-ray discs lose allot more time than DVD-9 disc switching due to installing data and longer load times because of the slower disc read speeds.I have both system and am undecided which system to buy it for, In my eyes the disc formats are not a factor i am more bothered about quality, with Frame rate speeds and load times being the main factor and graphical quality second.
