Seems this weekend's deal on Steam is 75% off Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. The game is currently going for £3.49 which seems too good to pass up. I never did get round to playing Lost Planet when it was released, anyone know what the game is like on the PC? Is the multiplayer any good / alive?

Steam Weekend Deal, 75% off !!!
"I hate steam weekend deals. They make me spend money on things that I'll never play (or at least not play anytime soon)."Me too. :( But this is one I may pass on because it's not the Colonies Edition. How about getting that version on Steam, Capcom?
sell it for 99 and maybe I'll buy it but I'm not into Jap stories cause they are always dumb like Resident Evil.
"I'm still awaiting a World of Goo weekend sale. Really want that game, but not for the £16.99 price it's selling for at the moment.I'm considering buying goo at £16.99. I don't think it'll be worth that price, but I like to support indie devs, and especially with the amount of piracy it's gotten, I almost feel like genuine gamers owe it to them to buy it at that price. Although the other part of me wants to forget about that and think about my own wallet size.

MADNESS!
Dude seriously, steam needs to stop. I keep spending money, as little as it may be, when I don't have any. xD
One more won't hurt. Plus I wanted to rent it, and it cost 8.99 to rent at blockbuster. So win?
I've tried but the multiplayer is generally inactive - lots of connectivity issues, and I can't host for shit even with forwarded ports. I hear Colonies Edition is more active multiplayer-wise.
I hadn't realized there was a difference.
I thought they were basically the same game.....or atleast shared servers or whatever.
" I hadn't realized there was a difference.Colonies Edition doesn't share the same network as the regular edition. I suppose they didn't want to confuse consumers by allowing them to play with people who own the other addition on some maps and not others, but it was quite a silly decision since most of the maps are the same with only a few additional game types.
