I would assume not. Since you can play as a female Shepard and can hook up with the [sexy] alien chick.

No he's clearly not dead, but "under the radar".

As it's not mandatory to have sex, it's rather unlikely to happen that way. And you have to admit, that Shep is a rather lucky guy ... you don't think he'd get his girl pregnant on their first night ;)

Didn't BioWare just recently confirm that you'd be able to carry over your Commander Shepard from the first game? Sounds like he/she will be in the second game.

I hope they can import my game choices and appearance without all the levels and equipment.  I'd rather start fresh with new stuff.
