Mass Effect 2
Game » consists of 21 releases. Released Jan 26, 2010
After a violent death by an unknown force and a timely reanimation by the human supremacist organization Cerberus, Commander Shepard must assemble a new squad in the seedier side of the galaxy for a suicide mission in the second installment of the "Mass Effect" trilogy.
Upcoming Mass Effect 2 DLC Costume Pack WOOOOoouuh?
Least if they have the same amount of versatility as the alternate appearance pack 1 did, the costumes will in fact give them a new look, instead of a quick colour palette. But even still, I wouldn't of pegged them to release any more tid bit DLCs when there's the DLC to bridge the gap for ME2 - ME3 they promised us.
Ah well. I imagine it's more intended for PS3 players who haven't had over a year to completely dry out their Mass Effect 2 experience. Released on February 8th, no pricing as of yet. Blah.
" I'll get this for the same reason I bought everything else. It's more mass effect 2 content. "Yep!
And for people wanting more substantial DLC ... this doesn't mean it isn't coming!
" I'll get this for the same reason I bought everything else. It's more mass effect 2 content. "I'm with you there. Bought everything so far and I've still got one more playthrough (Engineer class, only one left I haven't completed it with yet) in the runnin' before I completely shelve ME2 until the ME3 linked DLC arrives.
Only interesting bit about that one is Miranda looking like a proper Cerberus soldier but that's about it.
Still bothers me that you can't control headpieces. Some of the pack look awesome but the stupid coolshades and crap ruins it.
I don't mind them releasing DLC for ME2 as long as its DLC that I don't want to buy, so this is great.
" @dagas said:Better yet, an unmasked Tali!?!" They should release shirtless Jacob as DLC ^^ They already have that texture after all (as seen in the love scene) "Now if they include the Miranda love scene outfit I might just be down for another play through of ME2... "
" The fact that they keep releasing this stuff means people actually buy it. This scares me. "It just shows that people will spend money on anything haha.
Personally I bought costume pack 1 without regrets. Jack was no longer wearing her ridiculous breast-thong (even her alt costume had the outline of it), I didn't have to watch Thane's eyes during his stupid stream-of-consciousness flashbacks, and Garrus fixed his wrecked armor, which were all specific complaints I had about the character design even before I knew a costume pack was coming. It was like Bioware had listened to complaints and fixed them! I'm glad I bought it and when I play, all three of them wear the costumes I bought.
That said, this pack is different. Miranda's attire is a bit more realistic for her role, I guess (though armored like that, I'd expect her to use bigger guns), but aside from palette I don't immediately the improvements to Grunt and Tali (who really didn't need them, anyway). I guess what I'm saying is they already fixed the character design issues that existed, aside from Miranda's face, so this one I'll pass on.
appearance pack is not even partially DLC. you guys misunderstand what Bioware said. the DLC what we expect is that the connection to ME 3 just like shadow broker. as far as I know, there is still one major DLC we have. but they didn't mention small DLC like appearance pack which won't be coming at all. plus, we will get terminus armor and weapon after Feb, 23rd (well, it won't be free though). because this promo for PS 3 will be expired after Feb. 23rd. until then PS 3 users can download it for free. so when Bioware said DLC, it's the major one. not small one. again, we have one more left.
" Miranda looks like a goddamn construction worker. Glad to she she looks a bit less like a whore now though "I think Miranda's is nosa'bad. Grunt's, though, looks like he's got tooth brushs covering his eyes. Now that ain't Krogan, yo. I would of hoped they'd give him one of the massive Battle Master armour suits with the ridiculously huge shoulder pads that looks like something out of WoW. Tali's is barely distinguishable from her original outfits. That fucking mask! Dx
Meh! I didn't like the first Costume pack, and this one doesn't look to fare any better.

Haha! How crazy would it be if that was how they revealed her face? A DLC costume pack.
" @Abyssfull said:Be hilarious if they released that ME2 meme of Wrex's face being behind her mask as a costume. Surely that exists as a mod in the PC version??" @hexx462 said:Haha! Yeah, and fans raging because they went for her as their love interest and now don't like the way she looks. ahahah" @Jeust said:

I personally have to say I'm all for these alternate appearance packs. They're only 150 Microsoft Points and add some variety into how the squad members look. Seeing as I bought everything elsethat came out for ME2 and DA:O I'll get this too. I'm personally hoping they release two more packs so that we get alternate costumes for every squad member. Although one of them would be a little weird since they would be costumes for characters you might not have (Kasumi and Zaeed).
I also agree that this most likely has no bearing on the promised major DLC pack to bridge ME2 and ME3. Making some new outfits for characters is not nearly as time and manpower intensive as an entire new DLC pack.
If these were free or included in the more substantial DLC, they'd be great.
But who would pay for these?
I just want a bloody GOTY version. I don't want to spend a fiver on the game and then another 10-20 pounds on DLC.
" Meh! I didn't like the first Costume pack, and this one doesn't look to fare any better.I don't think they should unmask Tali. It would only disappoint most people since we have a picture of her in our head and she would probably look different from that. The way I see it I like her enough already, seeing her wouldn't make me like her more, but it has a fairly large risk of doing the opposite. After all she is an alien, for all we know she could look like a cross between a Salarian and a Krogan.

Good point. Still's lame content.Ah well. I imagine it's more intended for PS3 players who haven't had over a year to completely dry out their Mass Effect 2 experience.
