Exactly this, I have never been able to get my credit cards to work on American sites that do not allow Canadian buyers.

Metro 2033 is considered a classic in its own right, and Last Light apparently doesn't give you much backstory. So, I would recommend looking at the Metro 2033 wiki and maybe watching a few videos or reading explanations of major plot points. That way, you aren't confused.

Still, I've heard it's very manageable as long as you just glance a bit at overviews of 2033. Not ideal, but serviceable.

Ah, dunno about that part. I just assumed from one of the other non-Americans who placed an order in the topic that it may work for you. Guess I based that on a credit card, not necessarily a debit card, too.

Yeah, this is exactly what I meant, now if someone were to buy a whole bunch of codes for us internationals, that would be a real nice thing to do...

I wonder if I would have actually received a code if I just placed one order and perhaps place one more order on another email. They're taking much longer to be canceled now, but it's well over 30 minutes for most of the orders.

I suspect they just want to get you to create an account and register your credit card with them. It'll make future purchases at their website more likely, if you already created an account at an earlier point.

Anyway, this is cool. I already bought it for myself ages ago, but this will be nice for my little brother. Dont' tell him I only paid a penny.

haha. The download speed on the game went way down after people started rushing to get it. I guess everyone is downloading it at once.

It does, but I believe in eight hours that the deal will be gone and they will wipe out any orders that are still in the processing stage.

@karmum: Most time when online stores screw this type of thing up they honour the codes that people bought and just chalk it up as a loss. Though if a person bought 100 codes they may limit them.

Brit here, it didn't work for me. Was up to the point of waiting for a code and got an e-mail about the order being cancelled due to wrong info on my part, which I'm guessing is due to billing address not matching up to what it should be.

Anybody else not receiving their codes? Not getting anything on my end.

I placed an order almost an hour and a half ago. Still no code.

I remember Best Buy not too long ago selling a large sized TV (online) for like $10, and they didn't honor any of the orders. I even tried to order a few of them. Then again, large sized expensive TV =/= video game that is relatively cheap in comparison.

You're more than likely getting your order canned because they've realized their error. All of my canceled orders were because of not being able to "verify my information." I know I typed my stuff in right.

I still have like eight orders in queue, all of which were placed more than a half hour ago. So yup, waiting.

You could always speak to a rep on their chat service and see if you can prod anymore information that way. Probably won't get anything from it, but it's worth a shot. They seem to be getting hammered at the moment, perhaps that's how it always is or a ton of people are contacting them about this.

Edit - And they seem to be quite aware about the error. Talked to two reps and both knew what I was talking about before I even gave them my order number.

Used a US address, Bryant Denny Stadium haha, and a canadian prepaid mastercard and it seems to have worked. Hearing that they are cancelling orders though so hoping mine slips through and I can get a code.

Now only like three of the 17 orders I made are still being processed. The last guy I talked to said any order was being canceled or "on hold." I placed many of my orders not too long after the topic was posted, so I'm guessing my bulk orders ruined any shot I had at even getting one for myself.
