Last year was not a good E3 for Nintendo. While the gaming public expected one thing, namely the deliverance on news of a few of their favorite franchises, Nintendo gave another, that is to say a press conference for the non-gamers. However, after most gamers had already shut down their streaming video and turned off their monitors, Nintendo let drop that a Grand Theft Auto would be landing on the DS. 

Well, we won't get any new hardware, that's for sure. A new New Super Mario Bros. would seem natural, but I am vying for a new Pikmin too. A new Castlevania will probably creep out there because it is a constant rotation of games in that series, but I am not sure about a new Metroid. Let's just say that I have hopes for that, though. That would be awesome.

I would love a new Golden Sun. But chances of that happening are kind of slim.

More news on the new DS Zelda is gonna happen (of course). A DS remake of the Mother series (maybe with the same graphical stylings of Pokemon Platinum) would be really awesome and make the hardcore crowd go absolutely crazy. But then again, chances are basically zilch.

So... I really have no clue.

I do hope they reveal another 2D metroid. That would be so awesome. It's been a while since the last one, and i feel like enough time has passed to bring out the ip once again in general.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 would be a nice treat, though i kinda feel like they would have announced it by now. The original is probably still selling a lot, so i guess they didn't need to.
There's going to be more news on Spirit Tracks which is always welcome, but i think that's it concerning first party nintendo stuff, or at least the core franchises. I'll more than welcome any surprises.

I really have no idea what to expect out of the third party developers.

I am so busy trying to buy so many DS games, anything good they announce will only get added to the list.

More DS SNES jrpg ports and FF V remake.  Wii is dead to me, I don't want any sequels of the franchises I love using that stupid ps2/Gamecube-esque hardware. Give me more old school 2D games for the DS, stop trying to use 3d like in Metroid Hunters, it just sucks, 2D is the way on the DS.

I'd dig on a New Super Mario Brothers 2, as long as its actually a sequel to the actual (US version) Super Mario Brothers 2. I know I'm probably the only person who wants that at this point.

Zelda DSiWare trilogy, and New Super Mario Bros 2.

They should remake up to FFV on the DS and then from VI to IX they should use better hardware, like a current gen console or the next iteration of handhelds

I'd love to see a new Donkey Kong or Metroid platformer for the DS, as well as a new F-Zero.  My gut tells me we're going to see at least one of those.

Donkey Kong Country 4 would be my dream, but I wouldn't mind an F-Zero DS.

Newer Super Mario Bros. would be my guess. Maybe we'll also get Even More Brain Training and Nintencats.
