Braid has nothing on Oddworld...okay fine, Braid was equally great in many minds, but I prefer the story, the visuals, sense of humor, and and the gameplay of this 2d game over Braid. I would absolutely LOVE IT if they released them on curren gen consoles on XBOX Live Arcade and the Playstation Store. UGH! this game was genius, absolutey fun!  

But the 360 controller works with these games, and they run on just about any PC released in the last 10 years, so why not just get them on Steam?

Considering all the games getting updated, I wouldn't doubt it, although I wouldn't be too optimistic about it either.

I'd really like to see it on a console store, the more people who play this gem the better.
This definitely would be the first game I mention if anyone started the 'games are art' argument of neverendingness

Sadly I just couldn't get into Abe's Odysee/Exodus myself but I know there are a lot of people who would love to see it on XBLA/PSN. I don't think the chances of this actually happeneing are too high though.

Since this is on Steam for sale this weekend (75% off), I picked it and the sequel up for $3.75.  I need to hook up a controller though because the keyboard doesn't translate the controls well, even if you edit them.  Definitely a smart purchase.

Agreed.  I would easily pay $15 each for them on XBLA.

It is going to be released on PSN...it's not announced when that will happen. This might actually make me buy a PS3..

My dream of upscaled resolution is gone, but I'm happy that I can play them on my PSP.

oh those games would be perfect, the hope that one day they might come to xbl or something  is putting me off from buying ps1 versions on ebay.....again 
 
Backwards compatibility for strangers wrath would be nice also because I have never played taht and I never owned an xbox.

They were released on Steam a while back.

I connected my Wii remote to my laptop to play this game. It went pretty smoothly, but not enough buttons. 
 
I'm sure if this game were to be repackaged, it'd probably do mighty good sales as a budget flashback.
