I don't really mind and think that the analog sticks are looser, but not loose enough that my playing is affected. What do you think?
PlayStation 3

The PlayStation 3 (often abbreviated PS3) is the third home video game console created and released by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.
Do you prefer shooters on ps3 or 360
I've never liked the Dual Shock controllers and I've always loved the Xbox controllers especially the Xbox 360 controller. It fits my hands perfectly and it's more immersive to have a trigger than a button.
i feel the opposite. i love the ps controllers. to me the xbox ones are to big but there better than the wii's fps controls.
"i feel the opposite. i love the ps controllers. to me the xbox ones are to big but there better than the wii's fps controls."...what in the name of hell is wrong with the Wii's FPS control?

I really didn't like Metroid Prime 3, that's putting it mildly. The controls are too loose, too wacky, and don't feel right. Often you have to tilt slightly up to point straight, or tilt straight to look down and it just feels wrong. The Wii wasn't made for FPS's.

I don't really know what you mean, but alright. I had a lot of fun with those controls. However, just as it took the traditional pad a while before it hit its stride for FPs, it's taking the Wii a while. Q1 2009, and the final verdict will be in.

Fair enough.
The 360 definitely has better controls for shooters. I really dislike the Dualshock controller. It needs to be retired. The sticks feel way too large under your thumbs, they touch together sometimes, they're too close. It's uncomfortable. And don't get me started on the retarded pillow-triggers. I know that sounds generic, but it's true. The PS3 controller is just bad for shooters.
I have both xbox 360 and a ps3 and the xbox 360 controller is by far better, its more comfortable and the triggers are better

Well, the triggers are much better on the 360 controller and that's one of the most important parts of a shooter.
The only problem I have with the PS3's controller for FPS are the loose sticks. You get used to them really quickly though.
"BiggerBomb said:Like the fact that you have to have 2 different peripherals to play a shooter."Arkthemaniac said:............LIEK?"...what in the name of hell is wrong with the Wii's FPS control?

"Arkthemaniac said:Except you don't need 2 different peripherals, unless you count the nunchuk, which comes with a Wii anyway, plus most FPS games on the Wii are single-player so... One different peripheral if you "need" a shitty Wii Zapper. Or a Nyko pistol add-on. Those things are great."BiggerBomb said:Like the fact that you have to have 2 different peripherals to play a shooter.""Arkthemaniac said:............LIEK?"...what in the name of hell is wrong with the Wii's FPS control?

"I haven't played any shooters on PS3, but I've used the sticks, and I like the 360's better. Also...for metriod prime 3 it was really good. but the other fps's that came out i didnt like them at all. its probable just the games but still didnt like. if there were more like metriod prime 3 then i would thing it was good.shadows_kill said:""i feel the opposite. i love the ps controllers. to me the xbox ones are to big but there better than the wii's fps controls."...what in the name of hell is wrong with the Wii's FPS control?

EDIT: sorry for double post
360 is the obvious choice for FPS. The 360 controller comforts those with big hands (like me) and the R2/L2 triggers are a pain in the ass.
DS3 is an all round controller for fighters etc.

Easily the 360 just because of the controller layout. The PS3 controller is fine for just about everything but FPS and racing. But those games I would much rather get on my 360. I like the offset thumbsticks on the 360 for FPS, feels more natural. And for racers, well Sony kinda tried with the L2 and R2, but really they still needed like an actual trigger.
"360, because of the triggers and the controllerFUCK YOU TOO.
It's like it was made for FPS, yet it's easy to use with other games as well.
It's the best controller this gen, fuck you Wii.

"I like the 360 because it is heavier and just feels better in my hands..."Yeah I be.... no, no, too easy.
This entire thread is bullshit. I have IR, mothafuckas! Have you ever had the pleasure of aiming a gun at a zombie and blowing their brains out seemingly for real!?! If not, you can shut the hell up and buy me. OH WAIT, I'M SOLD OUT!!!!
"Over did it."I don't give a witch's heap what the hell you assholes think. I'm the world's richest man, and I'm with your mom in the next room. So FARK OFF.
