Not very surprising news, this is Valve we're talking about after all. I wish we'd seen anything related to HL2:EP3 (HL3?) makes me sad.  Gotta love the press release though.

I don't want to write a wall of text so I'll just say this... Portal was great, I admit, but that's just because it was not really their game. Also the main lady (can't remember the name) left Valve and.... oh yeah, in my opinion every  "Valve game" except Portal and the original CS are OVERRATED! "

Something doesn't add up about all this. Needless to say, I'll be very interested to see what Valve has to say at E3.

It must be very demanding to work at Valve.  

9:00-9:30 is a light morning company exercise...they need to get the juices flowing.
9:30-9:45 is a cool down...don't want to over exert themselves now.
9:45-11:00 they play Left 4 Dead.
11:00-12:00 is lunch.
12:00-2:00 they work at their desks while taking part in paper airplane tournaments.
2:00-3:00 they play Team Fortress 2.
3:15 is quitting time. 
 
On Fridays they usually take it easy though.

I don't understand the controversy, sure their games come out late, but maybe that's why all their games are great.  They are created in a decompressed environment where they can make sure everything works together.  Everyone just chill out, it'll come out when it comes out, and it'll be better for it.

I don't get why people keep acting like Valve somehow ISN'T making Episode 3. There are multiple groups within Valve, they don't make each game one at a time.

Okay, now all that Apperture Science talk is just annoying now with a delay.

Jeez. At this point Valve should just OVER shoot when their game are coming out. How much better would it be if they said:
Portal 2 coming 2014 
Portal 2 pushed forward 3 years!!!

This doesn't surprise me at all. It'll be amazing when it comes out and that's enough for me :D

I kinda hope the surprise is that it's coming to PS3, since I have no idea what else it could be. Also maybe the delay is so the PS3 version could come out day and date with the other two.

They're TRYING to have a sense of humour about it... and it's not working!

If true about the "surprise," I'm bracing myself to be disappointed. On the delay end, I really thought Valve was finally going to hit a deadline this time. Why announce one in the first place, eh? But again, I'd rather see it come out polished than thrown out ASAP. Given the extra dev time, I certainly hope it's going to be a longer experience.

I'm starting to think Valve has exchanged all the gamedevelopers for funny writers.

Apparently the millions of dollars of profit they make every year won't allow them to hire an extra 50 people to help finish the game on time.

This is terrible news! No HL2:ep 3 and Valve being Valve delays ANOTHER game. If they weren't so damn good people wouldn't put up with this shit.
