I've been through the first three episodes of Siren: Blood Curse, but I really haven't had any genuine scares, in fact I haven't had any cheap scares either. I'm glad at least that the rest of the episodes aren't short like the first was, but still I bought a horror game and so far it hasn't lived up to the genre. I don't feel any of the tension Klepek was raving about in the sight jacking sequences. Does it get better, or am I just not playing the game in the right mood?
@CH3BURASHKA: Seriously? Have you even used the thing? The screen is great, and the DPI is even better for reading, sure it's no iPad 3, but it's only $200 and runs everything you can throw at it. The form factor is fantastic and much less of a pain to carry around compared to an iPad. My ideal trifecta of devices to cover the widest range of portability and use would be a powerful desktop PC, a moderate and low power consuming laptop (preferably 13") and a Kindle Fire, because it's so god damned cheap and powerful it's unfair.
@Sparky_Buzzsaw: The device is fine for reading and at the same time adds a whole new range of capabilities to your READING device. The kindle fire is a media consumption tablet first, and an android device second; but even this is not set in stone. Really any android device can be anything you want it to be. I think it would be fine for your purposes, maybe by the time you're ready to invest in one they'll even have an upgraded version out in the wild.
I have one and I use it for games all the time. I recommend installing the Modaco custom rom (just a faster version of the amazon firmware with more support for apps) and GoLauncher EX, which I believe comes bundled with Modaco. The only downside to this is you still can't use your own wallpapers (it gets reset every time the kindle sleeps), but everything else runs flawlessly. Also make sure you hit up the Humble Android Bundles whenever they're around, there hasn't been a game that my kindle wasn't able to run from those. It plays Shadowgun and Zenbound 2 flawlessly and has a pretty decent battery to boot.

@bonorbitz: I say job in quotes because it's an unpaid position, their old website has fallen out of use so they want me to make a new one and make it super easy for them to keep it updated. I said sure. I have hardly any experience with web design, but it's actually going pretty well so far.
