Zelda and Metroid will be awesome anyway, I of course look forward to seeing (more of) them but I kinda wanna see stuff like The Last Story more.

But that's on a personal level, Zelda will probably be the big game for the majority of people since it's not only a new Zelda but also the game that will show if Nintendo's expert gameplay design will mean that their own Motion Plus can keep up with the more high tech stuff from Sony in terms of entertainment.

I also hope Cosmic Walker wasn't cancelled and will make an appearance alongside games from teams that haven't shown anything in quite a while, like the Pikmin team, like Retro Studios, and others who must have been working on stuff we've yet to see. Maybe Project Sora as well.

None for Warband yet, the module system isn't out, and M&B mods aren't compatible with it.

Andriasang has translated further details:
Large Map
You'll be able to move seamlessly through the game's vast world. The only loading you'll find is when moving between the various body parts of the world. Those who like to explore will find secrets hidden in areas away from your target location.

3D Field Construction
The Xenoblade fields are not just vast, but have height as well. You'll be able to make your character jump as you move through the fields. You can also leap down from heights, although you may end up incurring damage.

Support
The game includes a variety of support features that assist as you move through the vast fields. These features include:
  • Warp to previously visited landmarks by selecting them from your map
  • Your target area is indicated by an arrow at the top of the screen
  • You can freely change the in-game time
  • You can save anywhere

A few of the time aspects are detailed in the World part of the site, which now has a section titled "City and Life". Xenoblade will have a full day cycle. The people of the Kyojin part of the world all have unique personalities, and make different movements depending on if its morning, noon, or night. You'll be able to listen to the worries and requests of NPCs in order to bring about changes to their lives, allowing you to delve into the game's deep story.

The game's subtitle is Star Successor in the US that gets it on June 27, and Successor of the Skies in Europe, where it's just releasing today. Here's a trailer, though it must be seen in 60 fps to see that the game actually looks good, which most flash players do not offer. Check out the Jap, US and EU websites for more, including developer challenge clips. And yes, I know the dub is horrible, it's told you can play with the Japanese voices and English subtitles. Either way, this is Treasure and rail shooting at its finest. Any fan of the original, the Starfox and Panzer Dragoon series, or just good shmups should not miss it.

What The Critics Said

100 - Eurogamer Italy

Trying to improve a masterpiece is surely not an easy task: risks are many and the comparisons are always dangerous. Yet Nintendo and Treasure fully reached their goal by making Sin & Punishment 2 a game that's better than the original in every single way. Nothing to object to, this is an epochal landmark within the history of the genre, a product that will be remembered for years.

Forget bullet hell - Treasure has created an awesome slice of bullet heaven.

Here the rewards are rich, satisfying and threaded in the design. The compulsion to play through the game has not been found in manipulative shortcuts, but in graft and execution and a plethora of ideas. It is expensive game-making, for sure, but it is game-making at its absolute best.

There are so many standout moments in Sin and Punishment 2 that it would be criminal to describe any more, as they're best experienced first-hand. [Issue#91, p.122]

We hate using the word 'hardcore' but if we had to attach it to any game it would be this one. [May 2010, p.73]

90 - Meristation

Nintendo and Treasure fully reached their goal in the making of a better and longer action adventure - Sin & Punishment 2: Successor to the Sky's one of the most beautiful games that you'll find on the Wii console. It uses an interesting score system that hardcore players will love, not only because its playability, but also for the online ranking system. Shame there's not a WiFi coop to share with players around the world.

Sin & Punishment 2 is a splendid shooter. The continuous changes in the perspective adds a strange taste to a classic experience, while the wiimote is just perfect as a control device for this frantic instant classic.

Yup, you made your point Chris, and now people are just trying to tear it apart in stupid ways (it's like every review out there, lol well, apparently it's not since it got Jeff in such a fit) since this is teh internet, it's best to leave it as is and be on your merry way now. Keep it up.

Traitors? Not all of us swore unconditional love, loyalty and respect to the staff here. If you did, well, good for you, it's obvious. I didn't say anything there that I didn't say here long before that thread was brought to my attention (as it was, I didn't "run" anywhere, as it's quite obvious given that thread was posted yesterday and my comment is from today, after I had already discussed the topic here). Not to mention you still have trouble understanding they have little to do with Nintendo other than paying for the right to be called official and getting the odd exclusive. I visit their site for CVG content more than anything else since, like I said, the same company runs a wide variety of outlets, often with the same staff, but hey, whatever helps you sleep at night as you said.
