Wasn't there a Wii game that pushed back development on Skyward Sword because of the way it handled Wiimote motions, or graphics or something of that nature?
As a long time lover of Idle Thumbs, one of their jokes that's always stuck with me - particularly from a love of Jurassic Park itself - is Steve "Hot Scoops" Gaynor's epic, "I fell off of a dinosaur fence."
Sad to say I didn't see any achievements referencing this, so is it safe to say that perhaps there isn't a dinosaur fence in this game for me to fall off of?
I really wanna say Rage Wars since that was pretty fun for, "OH MAN. YOU GOT THE CEREBRAL BORE. NOW I'M DEAD." but I think Turok 2 had a multiplayer mode anyway.
Either way I remember Turok 2 being a much more "fun" Metroidvania kind of game, and am kind of blanking on the first one. 3 was really bad and then it got DIRE from there.
Turok: Evolution probably wins the Worst Game Award though. Huuwagh.
It's an UNDEAD dragon, so OF COURSE half of it's body rips off as it sulks closer to you to breath poison all over. Check it out next time you're there and fight it and watch this gruesome detachment. Brilliant touch.
Also if you have a big enough weapon - or even not - you should be able to do a jumping attack on his lower half and the body will kind of jolt up.
I've been using a Lightning Great Scythe which is GREAT for mopping up dudes, and the R2 is super big for any Fog Rings that happen to invade me.
In Demon's Souls I really liked using the Meat Cleaver, but sadly there isn't anything nearly as broken stat-wise in Dark Souls so I'm just kind of building a giant cache of weapons and'll figure out what I want to stick with later.
But then I see stuff like the Dragon Bone Fist and really want to make a Punch Knight. Oh gooood.
@snide: You should probably set up a supplementary poll say tomorrow or Wednesday and have the top 3 in it to have a better feel for consistency. I mean I love the Divinity series as much as a person can these days, but it might help get a better sense for what the community REALLY wants.
(please play through some BG2 beforehand if you guys do that. oh my gosh that first 10 hours :( )
Baldur's Gate 2 is gonna be boooooring. Does ANYBODY REMEMBER how PAINFUL the intro dungeon is? That thing is like dullsville central. I mean I know we're on GiantBomb and all but come on, we've already done a giant RPG before why are you guys out to make it WORSE D:
Voted for Wing Commander 3 as it'd had the maximum fun value in the least time. Also because Wing Commander is a great silly game.
If I could see some other PC games it'd probably be weird stuff like Shivers 1 or 2, maybe 7th Guest in that regard. Just like 90's era PC CD adventure games. Alone in the Dark? Edward Carnby is that era's greatest action hero!
I can kind of understand why Blizzard would dumb Diablo 3 down to a free-to-play MMO's level. I mean they had a lot of succses with World of Warcraft, as unfair as that comparison is, but there's also been a... heavy?... shift in the population of gamers with things like Angry Birds, Farmville and pretty much any other Facebook or casual game. So it makes sense to take out all of the "hard" choices like "What skills can I synergize with Hydra? Oh wait like barely anything."
Plus with the removal of stat point allocation, you don't have to worry about putting in minimum strength, dex for gear and putting the rest in Vitality or Energy. Although I'll miss making wacky builds like str+dex Sorceress. :(
