"Dude - all it takes is an hour of exercise a day and you can play as fucking much as you want to. Make it two or three and you can look like superman, even as a gamer. "
Quoted for truth, I exercise 1 hour 4 times a week, which leaves plenty of time for gaming. When it comes to exercise, however, no excuse is ever relevant: it all just comes down to manning up and doing it.
I'm skeptical of a new endurance run (if there is one). The Giantbomb staff are hilarious, regardless, but the endurance run was more or less made for Persona 4. It never seemed to me to be a good format to just stick any game into. I actually always assumed the Endurance Run was a one time thing, and that they would do different stuff after it was finished. (not that I don't have faith that anything they do will be awesome ;)
" I have seen some advertisements on this site before, but it seems to be rare. I know they are not making alot. Also I would pay to have there job and be able to work with my friends everyday. "
I dunno man, I don't think they're all friends. Alot of us users found out that Ryan hates Brad with a passion. But keep that shit quiet. /sarcasm. winkey face.
@SeriouslyNow: May I give another point of view to this? As a largely commerical movie designed to be successful, it did it's job well in selling itself to someone like me, who had no knowledge of the whatchmen previously. And although I know that after me saying this, the picture you'll paint of me will be of some blazing idiot who's never read or thought in his life, I will skip the desperate attempt to convince you that I actually read quite alot and do think with my brain once in awhile and tell you this: The points you bring up do not make the movie without merit or without moral to most people, but mostly seem to effect fans by warping the messages and merits they derived from the source material.
I remember when the LOTR movie adaptations changed a bunch of key scenes in the third movie, and at first I was angry because they were needless and hamfisted compared to the way JRR Tolkien presented them in his books. The moreI thought about it, however, the more I realized that the effort in making certain elements quicker and more clear were to make a more streamlines movie version of LOTR, not LOTR: The books: The movie. Alot of subtle plot designs that are taken for granted by people who know the source material don't translate as well onto condensed screen versions, and seem ridiculous to fans, but make a movie version of that much better for those who don't have that connection.
@BestUsernameEver: What your looking for is a face to face connection, something you won't find in video game communities. This is the reason why gamers seem so "dickish". Take up any other hobby generally populated by young males, and it's online equivalent will be comprised of what seems to be a bunch of assholes.
I thought it was pretty good, Zach crazy-greek-name's acting was really spot on as well, but people made it up to be some kind of holy grail of comedy before I saw it, so I was a little dissapointed when I left the theatre.
" Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II ~ did anyone really want this? "
Lots of people. It's one of the few games set in Star Wars times, outside of the Old Republic, that's competently made. It's Star Wars, unless they bring back Tie Fighter, that's the best we're gonna get. "
I would have to contradict you there, good sir, with the words Jedi Knight. Outcast is regarded by many as the best jedi-centric Star Wars game ever, and features more in-depth lightsaber combat than the arcadey Force Unleashed.
I put FFXlll, not because it will probably be my favourite game on that list, but because of all the negativity mixed in with the hype. With the growing sentiment of japanese games being "behind the times" in the years since the last proper FF, I'm really interested to see how this game fairs in the most interesting environment around what is usually a predictable release.
