Great stuff, I can't wait to get through all of this. Thanks for going to the trouble of translating the interviews!

I plan on getting it when it's released tomorrow in Europe but I'm not sure which console to get it on. Has anybody heard anything bad about either the 360 or PS3 version?

Ah g'wan. Everything is fine up until Sen's Fortress, when the whip transforms from rubber to dental floss.

@Seauton:

As said, the lightning spear is a fantastic weapon, especially for beginners as you can attack while blocking. Lightning buffed weapons also have a higher chance to knock back enemies and even though the element has been considerably nerfed since the game's initial release, they still hold their own just fine.

Sen's Fortress is a real bitch the first time through, but the feeling of satisfaction when you conquer it and reach Anor Londo is one of the most rewarding aspects of Dark Souls. Following orange soapstone help signs is key, as is summoning, they'll see you to safety.

Now that Steam Greenlight is (mostly) filled with legitimate games I decided to do some hunting for Indie "Darlings" that had yet to appear on the service. Lo-and-behold the first game I searched for turned up a direct hit, and having skimmed through the Engrish synopsis and knowing that Steam has introduced an initial fee to display on Greenlight I'm taking that as good enough confirmation that this is the real-deal.

Here's the link to the Greenlight page. Currently the game is only at 3% of it's required positive rating. I've actually held off of buying this game, in the hopes that it would arrive on Steam one day(Honestly? Because Steam has spoiled the shit out of me with it's ability to remember the games I own better than I do). If the process fails, however, I'll take it as a sign to run over to the dev's website and buy the game.

I felt From Soft did a phenomenal job on the DLC package. From start to finish there wasn't a point in the story when I began to get bored or feel that this was an unnecessary add-on to the game. The lore alone justified my purchase by the end of it!

Funnily enough I felt the Manus fight was the easiest boss fight, especially when Sif joined the fray to take the heat off at times. Artorias, on the other hand, was far too much for my dex. build to handle. Thankfully a dudebro wearing the same elite knight armour as me helped me out for the fight with his lightning Zweihander. He also showed me you could stunlock Artorias out of his supermode buff charge, which made the fight much easier!

Kalameet had to be my favourite boss fight however. Possibly the most rewarding solo fight in the game, as you square-the-fuck-off with a humongous and pissed off dragon. I died a helluva lot fighting him but it felt so satisfying to land the killing blow when I eventually got my shit together and fought like an MLG Pr0x420.

It's been a while since I played the 360 version for any stretch because I was waiting for the PC port, but I think the most I ever lost was about 120-130K souls. I've lost over 100K souls several times at this point so it isn't a big deal, but I remember losing the most when a friend and myself were Biggie Smalls-ing it up in the Darkroot garden, taking turns at summoning one another while cat covenant bros' invaded. I inevitably died(As you do) and made the rookie mistake of playing around with the mage, while the NG+ thief stabbed me in the back and killed me in a shot.
