I've been thinking alot about JRPGs and which ones are the best. This taste could change in like 1 day and I only put games on here that I finished, which isn't that much. I dont know if tactics games or other stuff should be on here. This is more just for shits and giggles. Also, my english is not quite the best, so sorry if I sound like a complete idiot.
This might share the first place with CT. Both games are really different. Nocturne's system is brutal and the setting is dark and hopeless. If you know what to do, you can beat this game without that much pain. But for your first playthrough, you're going to remember the game over screen. It's brutal and thats why I love it.
The "perfect RPG, you might say. Especially for beginners. Combat is great, characters are memorable and the story starts easy and gets more complicated.

The only real N64 RPG. And some crazy people might say it's better then every PS1 RPG (it doesn't get more brash then this). But seriously, Paper Mario has charm, character and alot more. It's quite a Master Piece.
Bizarre and really strange at some parts. Also the fighting feels way better compared to Earthbound.
A RPG with a battle system, that brings new and innovative elements and isn't completely sleep inducing like other games. Funny, fair and you can play as Bowser and fight against your own castle.
The fact, that you can't control you're party, gives this game a much lower score. However, P3 has good characters, a amazing story and you're typical SMT battle system.
I can't really decide between this and Platinum, but considering that this is the only mainline Pokemon game with a story thats not, be the best like no one ever was, I went with Black aWhite. And only to give you new pokemon ( atleast for the maingame ) is a bold move, for a pokemon game.

Nice Animations and impressive graphics. I always loved the ingame -world and the idea of Psyenergy. Especially the use of said energy to solve puzzles.
Really good animation for a GBA game and full of charm.
The customizable party creator was cool, the story was forgettable and the battle system was decent. It's a pretty standard RPG for the DS
I liked the combat and the leveling system and I kinda started to like the story, like halfway through the game. Even if I think, that the ending is dumb.
A Square RPG on the Super Nintendo is a instant win situation. I don't really remember much about it, other then it's a really good game
For a game with cute anime graphics, the story is pretty dark. I didn't expect this game to have concentration camps. As for the battle system: kinda chaotic, but still enjoyable.
It's just your typical RPG. Airships, Knights and a trip to the moon. Nothing really spectacular but hey, it's good at what it's doing
My least favorite of the series, but it's still a hell of a game.
Do you like grinding ? Well this game got alot of it. First-Person Dungeon Crawling with a decent number of classes and difficult boss battles. I only got the first ending and then prematurely sold the game, so that's that.
A nice Indie game, made by only two people. The combat is challenging and quick. It's got a lot of Lovecraft jokes in there, but you don't need to know everything to understand them. I bought it for a dollar on steam so I didn't expect much.
This game was a disappointment for me. I dont even know why, but compared to the first two games, this one was just kinda boring.
A cool little action game with a fun multiplayer. The world and characters are generic as hell and the graphics are a little ugly. Not a must play, but I had my fun with it.
