I still would like the original trilogy on the PC, but I am aware that those games were made for the PS3 which was a nightmare platform to develop for, so the chances of actually getting them (to run natively) are pretty slim.

Actually, after watching the QL and realizing there is a no build mode now, I downloaded it to play with my brothers. It'd been a while since we played anything together, and this was a reason good as any to hang out and play video games together again. It is actually very enjoyable. They've been playing it for years so they are way better than I am, but I can still hold my own, being the eldest brother and all.

I watched Old (2021) By M. Night Shyamalan -- 7/10

Really good premise that makes you want to keep watching, even though the acting and the dialogue is rough around the edges. It has a very campy feel to it, and the cinematography is like half documentary/half narrative which I don't think works well. Either commit to a style, or don't do it, don't half-ass it. But all that aside, the premise is strong enough to pull you through it, you want to know what happens next, even if the ending is a cliche.

Wait, does steam games become CHEAPER in certain regions? How come I've never heard of that? 😲

*intense googling ensues*

Oh yeah, they localize the prices based on the region's economics. So, in Turkey right now, games on Steam are dirt cheap. I just bought a bunch of Xbox 360 games (SR: Gat out of Hell, Binary Domain, Risen 2 and Just Cause 2) to have them available in case I want to play them again for around 2 dollars.

Steam recognizes which marketplace to give you based on your IP, but I am not sure a VPS/VPN would solely work because I had to give it an address it recognized. I tried buying Halo: TMCC as a gift for my friend in the US because it was around 2 dollars (compared to 15 in the US) and it didn't let me cause the price difference was too great. :))

the Mass Effect trilogy is one of the most memorable gaming experiences of my life. I love that universe, and it's a shame that we don't get more of it.

Max Payne 1 and 2, even 3 to some extent, have a very special place in my heart, played the first one when I was really young and those metro levels, the snowy street levels, everything about the mood and aura of that game are still with me.

I won't skip cutscenes, but dialogue scenes that are taking too long and don't really matter in the end, I tend to skip. I've only got so much free time, and I need to finish the game, damn it.

So far, I've bought the following:

Sniper Elite 3 with the DLCs

Sniper Elite 4 with the DLCs

Dirt 4

GRID

Portal 2

and Stardew Valley

Because of my region, all of these games amounted to less than $5. So, I am pretty happy.

Much love to the rest of the team, but I didn't show up as much when Alex, Vinny and Brad left, and now with Jeff gone, I think my time here at GB is over. It was a wild ride. There were times in my life where GB and their voices was the only constant thing that could keep me sane, and going. Thanks for everything you did, Jeff, back in GS, GB and whatever you do in the future, I'm gonna be there for it.

Always stay a threat.

@thepickle: That is a good rationale, you're right. It can be very easily misinterpreted and turned into something woefully wrong these days. Right decision to omit it.

Okay, this was a great trip down memory lane. Thanks! I knew almost all of the points, since I've been here since the inception, basically.

A few that I'd like to add:

- Actually, China Don't Mind

- I don't remember the name exactly, but that live stream where they were trying to raise money to do an international Giant Bomb tour (Maybe it was called 'the raid'?)

- Ryan's Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet co-op livestream slip

A personal note that I remember. During the basement Whiskey Media days, there were a bunch of videos that were uploaded back to back with Ryan wearing the same red shirt. I commented asking why is Ryan wearing the same shirt in every video. He replied back saying, "it's hard for fat people to find good shirts" and I HATED MYSELF. HATED MYSELF.
