Doom 4 --> "Doom"

"Doom 4" was the working title, and it has now been publicly announced, both through the Wolfenstein: The New Order-related beta and through the E3 teaser trailer, that the game's actual title is just "Doom".

For the record, I eventually decided to throw caution to the wind and try it, because I'd really rather play on PC than on console, and it works perfectly, at least so far. Thanks to everyone who responded. :-)

I was thinking of finally picking this game up, so I checked out the Systems Requirements Lab (this site here) to make sure it would run on my compy. And it promptly tells me my CPU doesn't meet the minimum specs and will not run.

Now, this strikes me as odd; alright, my computer's not exactly a spring chicken, but Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag runs just fine on it, and I figure that has to be comparable. So on a whim, I ask the website if I can run that game, and it says I failed the test there, too.

The problem there is that it has different listings for the requirements for Black Flag and Liberation, so I honestly have no idea whether or not Liberation will run on my computer. Can anyone who knows tech better than me let this primitive caveman know if he can play this game? :P

For the record, here's the stats it lists for Black Flag:

Minimum: Intel Core2Quad Q8400 @ 2.6 GHz or AMD Athlon II X4 620 @ 2.6 GHz
You Have: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

And here's the stats for Liberation:

Minimum: Intel Core i3 2105 @ 3.1 GHz or AMD Phenom 2 X4 955 @ 3.2GHz
You Have: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

Please, no posts that are just mocking me for having an outdated rig, I know I could probably stand an upgrade, I just want to know if the computer I have now will play this game.
