Corporate greed is just insane,

While you're not wrong I think this is one instance where they're not so insane. You'd run into issues like this at most companies.

Most companies aren't usually thrilled when they pay you lots of money for R&D and then you go take it somewhere else, especially when you make a ton of money off your research. The same research that you were really only capable of doing because ZeniMax was paying your salary to basically do said research. Generally when you pay someone for R&D you're expecting a return on that investment of salary and time in the form of pushing that companies work forward and making more money because of it.

It actually sounds like a pretty logical complaint.

I think their biggest misstep was including this with Ground Zeroes, as a part of the larger whole in The Phantom Pain this might not come across as so out of character and unnecessary.

I also think some of you crying foul are going a bit overboard for what is actually presented explicitly in the game versus what is alluded to, it is still afterall appropriately rated for "sexual violence." If you want to argue further ratings problems that's an entirely different discussion. Videogames have never been rated appropriately. However if you compare it to movies (not that they're a much better example) there's no reason why what is actually present in Ground Zeroes would get anything but an "R" rating.

Alex has never been the staff member who's sense of humor lines up best with mine, but god damn if his list every year is the best and closest to what I also feel are the best games of the year. Also his write ups that explain everything are fantastic. Great job, Alex.

I feel exactly the same way.

There's nothing about the new multiplayer that feels like anything but Killzone, rest assured. It's just as unique and awesome as it always has been, I too really enjoyed the break from the norm that Killzone has always provided.

If anything it feels like Halo, but not in gameplay, just in game customization. The custom warzones are an awesome idea and it's going to take a bit before some fun and creative new warzones surface but I'm confident they will. I've already played a couple of interesting configurations.

If you liked Killzone and you've got the money, Shadow Fall is pretty great.

I created a new warzone called "Vivizone." The idea being when you want to play all of the most vivid and beautiful new Killzone maps and avoid all the drab and destroyed ones.

It's also modified to be faster respawning but with more varied and quicker switching objectives. My first attempt. We'll see how it goes.

@stuvning: Holy crap, sometimes I feel like the only person who uses that software. I would have never thought to disable it. Thanks for the heads up! See you around at One Eyed Jack's.

Just having balls isn't enough for me to buy their console. It's telling they had the gall to do this in the first place.

Having balls to admit they screwed up and stepping up and "correcting" their mistakes, in my opinion takes way more balls than capitalizing on popular demands despite what your personnal beliefs as a company are. Let's be honest here, Sony was gonna do the same, they just used that weakness as an advantage. Smart. What Microsoft did takes balls.

@spartyon: I wouldn't be so worried, these things are always sold at a loss.

@I_Stay_Puft: You mean because his hair is darker as opposed to blonde? Yeah that's what I was thinking too. However it certainly wouldn't be too out of the question for it to have gotten darker, plus it's Kojima, maybe he dyed it so that he could confuse us further haha.

Also, it's hard to say, but when you pause it where you can see his face a couple times it looks like Snake but a little off. However that could just be me trying too hard. Either way. I love this. Anytime a new MGS trailer comes out it becomes so much fun to discuss this stuff.
