A list of SNES games that have been listed as the greats. I will note if I have played through or not. This list was compiled after Giantbomb SNES marathon if you happen to read this list and feel I am missing a game please let me know and I'll add it.

I remember renting it as a kid. I also remember playing the Arcade version back on one of the Air Force bases I grew up on.

The game was not released in English, a rom was created in English with foul language I may play through this one day but due to a lack of proper translation I might not. (Unless the foul language is the proper...)
I played this growing up and I remember beating it and loving the shit out of it. Based on the title you would think it was absolute shit but was great.
Never played. On a side note I had also never heard of this game until a Duder linked a list of great SNES games.

Never played other then the PSP port that I was not enjoying. I think the graphics for the remake was what was bothering me and the controls but honestly it could be how this SNES port played as well.
I played and finished this game growing up. It was one of my favorites at the time. I remember getting all the way to the Ozzy fight and dying over and over again. It was my first RPG and the commercial is what sold it to me that Japanese dude screaming about how bad ass the game was. I remember going to my friends house and figuring out why I couldn't be the boss was because I was rolling around with the wooden sword the whole time. I had no idea about Equipment. haha
Never played. This game was not released in America. I have fond memories of my ex wife and I playing CT3 she did all the exploration and puzzles and I did the boss fights for her. The music was scary as hell. Added to the list but unless it gets remade or added free in a new CT game I probably won't play. The Wiki on Giantbomb does include a link to a site where a Japanese guy plays through the game with subtitles, I'll check it out!
I played this a bit growing up but I think I only rented it because I know I didn't play much of it.
This is one of the few games I have finished on two platforms. The SNES and the Genesis were different in many ways and I enjoyed both. I know I completed both of.
One of the Darius games. I have no played and probably never will to be honest. Not a big fan on space shooters.
Never played herald as probably one of the most bizarre action games. Not translation available but since it's an action game not really needed.

I played this one I was younger but do to it being super difficult I never finished playing. I may play the XBL version.
I played this as a kid but had to give it back to a friend. I played the remake on the PSP and finished it.
