I'm still getting a Vita for Persona 4 Golden and for anything that comes out. Also Patrick, is this a fact that Vita isn't doing well or is it your option because you act like there isn't any games for it when in fact there is when you look.
It would have taken 5minutes to showcase some of the cool indie downloadable titles coming to vita. Even just to say hey, we don't have the time to show you in depth looks at all these games but we have TWENTY(or some impressive number) downloadable titles coming to PS vita this year! Check them out on the show floor...
As I posted in the Microsoft thread, I am also disappointed with Sony's showing this year. I must admit it was better than Microsoft in terms of showing new games (The Last of Us, and the Ellen Page game look great, and I will likely get them) but there was a distinct lack of major games being shown. Now I have no interest in All Stars or God of War so maybe that tainted my views somewhat, but the book had too much time spent on it. It just felt like a lack of any games being shown we have not seen before (like Assassins Creed 3, the footage was good, but Ubisoft kind of stole the show with its conference before Sony, Far Cry 3 again looks good, but the Ubisoft conference already showed this).
A lack of software and no showing of games like Hitman (a snippet shown during their montages, but nothing else) or Grand Theft Auto 5. Also exclusive content that did not excite (like free dlc rather than throwing in say Far Cry 1 with Far Cry 3 or bundling the Vita version of Assassins Creed with the PS3 version or a combi pack to get both) just left me wandering if Sony, like Microsoft, are holding back for next year and maybe a new hardware announcement. Disappointing but not as disappointing as Microsoft as at least Sony had some first party/exclusive games to show.
What the ...? There was a tonne of huge games. AC3, Last of Us, Beyond & God of War are all HUGE games. The book did have far too much time spent, but I felt that was the only rotten egg in the Sony Conference. Thing about hitman is that they have already showed 10 minutes of gameplay footage now. It wouldn't be that exciting to have them come up and show more. As for GTA5, Rockstar notoriously does not like to show stuff at E3 so it was very unlikely it would make an appearance.
