I have to disagree. I went in with no expectations and the movie was still terrible. They could have done at least an epic battle, but that wasn't even there.

I saw it. It started out pretty good. I was actually really liking it. And then after Yamcha joined every part of the movie turned to shit.

Saw the movie.  Sorry man, it sucked. I couldn't even stomach the ending. They basically molested my childhood with that movie.

You know the guy who wrote this movie script was paid $500,000 for this piece garbage. I wish they chose to do the movie on Saiyan lore or on Bardock.

I'm sorry, but I can't agree. From what I saw of the trailer it told me that making this movie was a bad idea and before that it was a bad idea and even before it was a bad idea it was a bad idea. In short, NOT TOUCHING IT!!!

I watched it a few weeks back when it was leaked onto the net because it was in theaters in Japan at the start of march or so if i remember. I went in thinking it was going to be kinda of a disappointment and well I was right. From a source material stand point it only really sort of covers things from Dragon ball, but besides that the acting was kinda blah and just a whole lot of bad choices made on how to make characters act and look made me a little sad that I sat and watched the whole movie.

The problem is, did this movie really need to be made?

I'm guessing it might be OK for anyone who has no clue what Dragonball is/about. But if I saw it I would compare it to the cartoon series of my childhood.

The only Dragonball movie i will ever see, is one that takes the source material seriously, and makes a faithful adaption. It could be really good if done right. I won't be surprised if within a decade a producer comes along and says, yo lets redo this shit right. Hulk style.

Saying that movie was anything above mediocre is a disgrace to the series.

DBZ was never known for having a great story anyway.  I saw the trailer and thought it looked pretty dumb.  I'll wait for some reviews before making my decision on whether or not I'll watch it.

I actually want to see it and I think having extremely low expectations works for the movie.
