I've been checking the Steam page every week or so to see if they added a release date, only to find out that it still says "Summer." But it looks like they're finally ready to unleash this cartoony-steampunk-fantasy-dungeoncrawler-RPG, with pets, onto the gaming world. Congratulations Runic Games. I just Might pull an all-nighter with this one.
I have gone through 7 RROD cycles. I've only had to pay for the repair once, though, and it wasn't Microsoft who repaired it. But now my disc tray has broken, and I don't think I'll repair it again. I'll Probably switch over to Playstation, because Adbox LIVE is getting pretty annoying. What a colossal piece of shit.
Dark Souls is a game that is meant to push your patience to it's absolute limit (Took me over 100 hours to finish my first playthrough). The game is supposed to feel unfair (At first), which is why it's only for a very niche audience. The PvP is no exception, which is why you get such great rewards if you manage to kill the invader. Other players can only invade you when you're human and the boss in the area you're exploring is still alive, so don't use humanity unless you absolutely need it. And, as other posters have stated, only people around your level (I think the maximum level difference is 5) can invade you. But really, if you're having trouble with the PvP, you're probably not going to like the rest of the game. Though I encourage you to stick with it, because it's an amazing game, and not just because it's difficult. And if you play it enough, you will eventually get better at it. It's incredibly brutal, but that's the whole point. Just my two cents.
I'm not getting the game until the 28, so hopefully the problems will be fixed by then. Although the problems may get worse with the new influx of people. I hope everything will be okay, and everyone will be able to get into the guild.
Kinda ironic that you made this thread the day after the disc tray in my 360 broke. I currently have Beowulf: The Game in there. It was keeping the tray from screwing up, but the damn thing finally kicked the bucket. But yeah, Beowulf.
