@CannonGoose: Why use SMAA if you are already downsampling? SMAA uses MLAA, one of the worst types of AA around, you probably reduced image quality doing that.
Can someone assure me there's no monsters in Dear Esther? I've read online that there wasn't but it could also be an elaborate troll...I'm hypersensitive to horror games for some reason.
"XBLA's dev support is shit and it costs a fortune to patch our own game, while Steam is faster, easier and free. Therefore we will release the game exclusively on XBLA and complain about it."
Liked 1 and 2 the most, seemed the most iconic of the series. Tokyo Drfit's ending was a little anti-climactic and I wish they could have played up the Yakuza aspect a little bit more, never really felt like anything was at stake.
By the way does anyone know the number of times SSFIV: Arcade Edtion has been on sale? I think it's just one but I haven't been keeping count. MIssed it the first time around and hoping I can get it again in a daily.
Someone should create a thread intended for helping people on how to approach the games in their Steam library. I sure as hell don't know where to start.
Pick 5 games you want to play, and only have those installed. Only install new ones as you finish those that you chose, but never have more than 5.
Also keep in mind that there's a very real possibility that a large portion of games in your library are actually bad; it's easy to accumulate such games from bundles and miscellaneous Steam sales that you thought you couldn't pass up during the time. Don't be afraid to just abandon these games, it's better to waste a little money than to waste a lot of time playing a game you don't enjoy. Also be more picky about Steam deals in the future, $2.50 and $5.00 purchases don't seem like much individually, but they add up. Keep in mind that one good game > ten mediocre ones and that should help prevent you from overinflating your Steam library.
@valrog: Cool. Well for 2.50, I can hardly go wrong.
Also, can anyone tell me if it's worth my time playing Total Wars: Empire and Napoleon if I already have Shogun 2?
No; the AI in Empire and Napoleon are pretty much completely broken and the UI is a mess. Shogun 2 is about an order of magnitude better than either of those two, so if you have that don't bother with them unless you're in it just for the historical setting.
