For all it's money, Twitch has very few community terms of service and filtering. It's kind of a sad statement that it's up to the actual channel owners to outlaw harassment, epithets, etc on their channels; and it was up to the community to create the bots that handle most of the spam and crap that comes flowing through the channels.
I just don't believe that it's a matter of resources, because this isn't as expensive as transcoding videos for partners. Set up a global filter list of certain hateful speech and crack down on assholes. What they have presently is the softest handed moderation this side of Reddit.
There is absolutely a global filter for language on twitch chat. It is on by default and each channel can decide whether to turn it off for their own chat.
Yep correct. Twitch users turn it off by choice, to get as many viewers as possible.
Being offended by something is a choice. Just because someone chooses to be offended by something, doesn't mean they're owed special treatment or an apology. This game has dodgy writing and translations, throughout, any tweaks should be welcomed. The one thing I am certain of, is that none of it comes from a place of bad intentions or a mean spirit.
I know this is 2015, where everyone is offended by everything, all the time, but it's getting pretty boring.
The best part about this remake, is that the people who will enjoy it the most, are the people who are indifferent about the whole thing and never cared for a remake in the first place.
The lunatics who put this game on a pedestal and have been screaming all these years for a remake, have unreasonably high expectations. Any change beyond a graphics overhaul, will cause outrage and the changes will be vast!

I'm with Vinny and co, this feels like a massive waste of resources. FF15 is the most exciting looking FF game in a very long time, thats what I would want them to expand on moving forward, not 10 steps back.
They should have put this up as a kickstarter, but with a realistic budget for a game of this magnitude. $50 million, $100 million, more? If the kids raised that, then fair play to them. This is also taking away from whatever budget Sony put down to get it first, a budget that would otherwise be invested in cool new shit.
Melisandre, a red priest, conveniently arrives back at the wall in time. She could do the whole kiss of life thing, like the brotherhood without banners guy. Jon of course could Warg to Ghost or another person, but another actor or wolf-jon, is too weird for me.
Either way, I don't think that is the end of him and Stannis only got a camera cut.
Jon died, so technically his watch has ended, a Jon Snow free of the wall would be pretty cool.
