Habast's Obligatory "Hero Team" List

Habast's ultimate hero team is hero to save the day! Comprised of only the best of the best, boldest of the bold, the baddest of the bad... er well, good, actually.

List items

 • Origin: Knights of the Old Republic II

Atton's a good shot, a skilled pilot, and is quite resourceful. His most powerful ability, however, is his unbreakable will. Every time he goes down, he just gets back up and keeps coming. Mr. Rand here is one of the best.

 • Origin: Mass Effect

Garrus is undeniably awesome.

 • Origin: Final Fantasy XII

The rather epic sky pirate from Final Fantasy XII.

 • Origin: Infinite Undiscovery

Transforming from a cowardly flute player into a legitimate hero, Capell is one of the best.

 • Origin: Soul Edge (Blade)

• Origin: Jedi Knight

Upon learning of his connection to the Force and attaining a lightsaber, Kyle proceeds to wipe out an entire gang of criminals, cut through hordes of stormtroopers, and kill 8 powerful Dark Jedi. All in a day's work for Kyle Katarn.

 • Origin: Dragon Age: Origins

• Origin: Prince of Persia

The Sands of Time Prince is my favorite. He's crazy acrobatic, a wicked swordsman, and is quite funny as well. He fills the shoes of a leading man quite well.

 • Origin: Gladius

The best archer in Gladius, a fact that she is well aware of.

 • Origin: Jade Empire

Well, we needed a ninja, right?

 • Origin: Historical Figure, first video game appearance: Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV

Probably my favorite in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I randomly selected him from the character list one time when I wasn't sure who to be. I didn't know who he was at the time, but I gave him a shot. I proceeded to revolt against my nation (Wei) and gain support from Wu in order to help me fight my former lords. I was successful and ending up taking all of China. About half way through the game, I read his bio and discovered that he really did revolt and really did get support from Wu, though his actual revolt failed. I thought that was pretty cool that I sort of made the same decisions without knowing. I was excited to hear that he would be appearing in Dynasty Warriors 7, and although I'm a little disappointed that they made him less competent-seeming than he should have been, but he's still pretty kick-arse. His musous are some of my favorites.

 • Origin: Mass Effect 2

Jacob is a cool guy. A straightforward and honest soldier with cool biotic powers.

 • Origin: Advent Rising

A cool character from a highly underrated game. Gideon faces the destruction of his entire species and handles it like a champ. He becomes one of the most powerful video game characters ever and wicked fun to play as. He's just plain awesome.

 • Origin: Mirror's Edge

The the lead of Mirror's Edge, Faith soars through the air extreme parkour style, dodging helicopters and beating the crap out of SWAT members. She's one tough chick, and she leaps about her world in style.

 • Origin: Street Fighter

The original fighting game good guy.

 • Origin: Beyond Good and Evil

The brave and quick-witted heroine of Beyond Good and Evil.

 • Origin: Knights of the Old Republic

A touch insane? Perhaps, but Canderous is still awesome. He's the best fighter in Knights of the Old Republic and has pretty hilarious interactions with other NPCs. You might say that Canderous isn't really a hero, but he comes through when it counts.

 • Origin: The Force Unleashed

My favorite character in The Force Unleashed, Kota is a wizened old Jedi general who still knows how to scrap with the best of them.

 • Origin: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Of course. How could Sam Fisher not be here?

 • Origin: The Force Unleashed

Starkiller is immensely fun to play as, at least for a while. He's one of the most overwhelmingly powerful characters you ever get to play as in a game.

 • Origin: Portal
• Origin: Final Fantasy XIII

Lightning is my favorite Final Fantasy lead protagonist.

 • Origin: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

Him and Archer are one of the most BA teams in gaming. It made for quite a bit of fun on co-op, and I ended up liking both of the characters a lot, but I liked Kestrel a bit more. Probably because he was the guy I was playing as.

 • Origin: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

 • Origin: Final Fantasy X

 • Origin: The Legend of Zelda

A man a few words and much awesome manliness, Link will forever shine as one of the classic heroes of gaming.

 • Origin: Mercenaries
