I'm so sorry for your loss, everyone. Ryan brought many hours of entertainment to my life, and I will miss him a lot. I can't imagine how his family and close friends must be feeling. My deepest sympathies to all affected by this loss.

R.I.P. Ryan Davis. I appreciate everything you gave to this community.

I would be willing to pay a large sum of money for this.

As excited for Battlefield 3 as I am, there is no way I am getting Medal of Honor after experiencing the beta .

This is awesome, however, I am conflicted over whether I want Carmine to live or die.

While I think it is a good thing that they delayed the game to make it better, I am also less likely to pick this up on release now. There wasn't anything coming out that interested me in August and I was bound to be starving for a game. Therefore I figured I would end up buying Dead Rising 2 day one. Now that it is coming after Reach and a little before Socom 4, Fable 3 and Fallout New Vegas I might wait since I will have plenty else to play. I still plan on getting it sooner or later.

I see what Korn is saying, and I agree with him. While I think a sequel to Bioshock is unwarranted like a lot of other people, I also think there are a lot of negative comments being made by game journalists about Bioshock 2's quality that might not be "professional." I don't mind that other people say bad things about a sequel to Bioshock (I agree with a lot of their points) but when I hear it on podcasts or blog posts from the people that will be reviewing this game soon I think that may be taking it a little too far. It's ok to express concern, but I think judgment needs to be withheld by those people until the game comes out and they play it.

An example that I recently heard was on the X3F podcast from Joystiq, when the people on the podcast were making statements about why a listener should not purchase Bioshock 2, even though none of them had played the game yet. I'm not saying this viewpoint of mine is right and journalists should bite their tongues, but it rubs me the wrong way when the people who influence purchasing decisions make comments on a game's quality when they haven't  experienced the game yet. I don't appreciate it even when I might agree with them, but that's just me.

I bought Torchlight, Max Payne, Max Payne 2, Indigo Prophecy, Osmos, and Morrowind. That's a lot of fun for about $20, I love Steam.

I'm surprised kind of by how many people think it will come out. Maybe it is just wishful thinking, but I don't think there will be one. It makes sense for their two year development cycle, sure. But does MS really need another heavy hitter for next year? Conviction, Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Fable 3, Halo Reach, and a barrage of multiplatform games (call of duty, fallout new vegas, etc.) and Project Natal are all going to be out next year. Is there room for Gears amidst all of that? Sure, but I think most people would like to see Epic take their time with the next one and put out a game with balanced/fixed multiplayer as well as a great single player experience. But like I said, that may just be wishful thinking on my part.

I'm buying both, but if I only had money for one...I'd hold Mel Gibson's child for ransom and then buy both...and a race car.
