I'm not married to Ryan, so whatever. Speaking of which, Ryan will have WAY more regret over things he says to his wife in 5 years, and they won't even sound offensive, things like "Maybe I do!", and "Do whatever you want, I don't care!"

I wish I could play Portal without any idea of what type of game it was. Not just the twist at the end. I wish I didn't even know that game had god damn portals.

Baldurs Gate 2 hands down, nothing comes close to the epic scale of story and sheer attachment I felt to those characters. It was my personal experience and mine alone, thats what it felt like.

and Final Fantasy 8 maybe, and perhaps something as stupid as Resident Evil 1. (I was a teenager and easily swayed by the atmosphere of that game)

Wow, like a weird, alternate reality version of me: Baldurs Gate 1 was amazing at the time, nothing else like it, rolled more than one PC, played through the expansions too. Baldurs Gate 2, I never finished, it failed to engage me. Too much of the same? Maybe I was too focused on the high level magic?

And Final Fantasy 8 was the first Final Fantasy game I failed to finish, and one of the only ones I still haven't to this day. I played a lot of it, and I didn't mind the drawing and junctioning so much (I had time!), but I HATED Squall. He can die in a fire. And the girl, too.

that reminds me, System Shock 2 (I never played 1)! I was genuinely surprised by the twist! and even before that, when I bought the game I had no idea there would be zombies, and they talked!

and if anyone hasn't played it, its exactly like Bioshock, which is why Bioshock did nothing for me.

1. Freespace 2 - When the second SV Juggernaut jumps in and destroys the Colossus...

2. Ultima 5 - When I was captured by blackthorn and had to either reveal the password of the resistance ("Dawn") or sacrifice a character.

3. Final Fantasy 6 - when the world was destroyed and the game didn't end.

when I was a teen, I played every action game on hard, and 100 percented every adventure game.

In my 20's I played fewer games, but I still finished most. At some point I turned the difficulty down. And then there was some tactics game that kicked my ass, and I quit.

In my 30's I play more games, since I had more money, but I finished few, because I have less time.

As I approach 40, I am being more careful about what I buy, and am more realistic about what I will enjoy/finish.

You don't owe a game you buy anything. If you no longer enjoy it, uninstall it/give it away/sell it back.

I was hyped about the graphics and style of Max Payne 1. I really did not enjoy the gameplay, and for many years steered clear of 3rd person shooters. Gears was the first one to work for me, but I still find most of them... nauseating? Yeah, an hour or two of Just Cause 2 was all I could stand.

Drinking and getting drunk is great as long as you don't overdo it. It would be silly to completely disqualify the idea unless you've had at least one experience of getting drunk or at least tipsy imo. Just my 2c.

Drinking != getting drunk. You can get intoxicated on gasoline fumes if that is what you are after.

A steaming hot tottie on a rainy day.

Honey wine with slow cooked North African food.

A nice beer while waiting for the grill to warm up, maybe while sitting in a kiddie pool
