@Hailinel: That's unfortunately true, which is why I started working on the task, felt like I was getting in way over my head and bailed on it (sorry Marino!). However, it looks like this is the route we're going with this concept so time to just deal. Does anyone know of a good VG soundtrack database that could help with this? Galbadia Hotel's the only one I can think of, but they don't update regularly, have almost no Western releases, and it can be hard to tell which things they have there are "official" considering they also host Game Rips.

Come to think of it, I actually have a couple questions about how we should handle this if you're out there, @Marino or any of the other mods: how are we defining soundtrack releases? Digital-only releases make sense being added to me (as that's the only way to get things like Super Meat Boy or Scott Pilgrim's soundtracks), but what about, for lack of a better term, semi-official releases? Valve's comes to mind here, since they're constantly releasing their soundtracks in weird ways. Left 4 Dead 2, for example, never got an official soundtrack release, but the songs from the game are easily accessible in the system files and are unencoded MP3s, so basically anyone who owns a copy of L4D2 on Steam has that soundtrack for free, kind of like how they threw the Portal 1 soundtrack into Audiosurf. Do these count? What about Portal 2, for which they released a bunch of the soundtrack for free online?

Also, what should we do about albums like Brink of Time, the official remix album of Chrono Trigger music?

@TrueEnglishGent

Finally a release date.

Smart release date, hopefully heavy beta testing will begin now. But great to finally get some sort of date after years. Actually been impressed with what I've seen of the game this past few months.

How is five days before Christmas a smart release date? Who is going to buy this?

Its sucks for PC gamers like me, but they need to make money on consoles before that pirates share it with every one.

Yeah, because we all know that piracy isn't rampant on the Xbox 360. Oh wait.

I don't know how I did it but I get emails from Justin-TV whenever they go live. I guess just subscribe to their channel?

Can you still get notifications for protected streams like the whiskeymedia channel that all the Members Only stuff is on? Serious question, I honestly don't know the answer; the only notifications I get on my phone are for TNT and their free livestreams.

Lord of Arcana 2?

Has to be. And I'll put money down that like Lord of Arcana, Swery's involvement is just as development director and he's not handling any of the creative side of this.

Sounds interesting. While on paper this would sound disappointing, but then again Spy Fiction and Deadly Premonition on paper are just "my take on Metal Gear and Resident Evil". So a "my take on Monster Hunter" can be really good if he the higher ups don't try to control him.

Unless he's gotten a promotion here, Lords of Arcana, which this is a follow-up to, wasn't really his game so much as he was serving as development director. Obviously I don't know for certain, but probably the same scenario.
