Hell no, even showed the paperwork to EPM when they asked me about it. Got all my paperwork and whatnot, took forever. USAF is downsizing and their job choices are only for really high scoring at the moment. Linguists are in high demand so it worked.

Farsi is a pretty great language. Just don't mix them up around Persian folks... they'll get pissed if you mistake Farsi for Arabic.

I also live in the bay area (San Jose) and if you are looking for something a bit warmer, check out Gilroy. Monterey gets cold because of all that fog and cold air from the bay, Gilroy does not usually get very cold, but also gets pretty damn hot in the summer. Might be more your style if you are looking for warmer climates. Also, go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I have not gone in a few years, but it is always pretty fun. Its the perfect place to bring your lady on a date!

I want to learn to mainly play Japanese games and possibly get a job translating if possible. Although... The women there are good looking and don't seem to age! (Seriously... a 20 or a 40 year old looks the same... from what I can tell...)

Also Japanese people seem very polite from what I can tell from many episodes of Anthony Bourdain and just docementories from there. I can get down with that since I am insanely polite as well. (When people aren't polite I feel like going Kenshiro on their asses!)

But yeah... at least knowing where I can find one would be extremely helpful in finding a girlfriend over there.

(Oh, and just learning Japanese to help get into more jobs in the job market... I don't know how helpful that would be. But I think it would add SOME points on a job application.)

Let's just say. Drama is something I have dealt and can deal with very easily. Trust me, I have brothers and a defective family... so yeah... stress/drama is a hand I can deal in.
