@fwylo:  And? I could invent my own fighting style. Doesn't mean anything.

Many of his "feats" would be impossible. He would literally need to be superhuman. If his feats were possible, they would have been replicated by other people. NOBODY in ANY sport is so vastly superior to the competition as Bruce Lee's supporters claim he is.

Bruce Lee is fast, but he's not the fucking Flash. As soon as Tyson grabbed Lee, he'd lift the little guy off the ground and snap his neck like a twig.

Bruce Lee is overrated. Even if he IS the greatest martial artist who ever lived, he's still overrated. I'll hold that opinion until someone posts some hard evidence of his magical ninja Matrix fighting abilities that he would need to take down Tyson.

Protip: It's not gonna happen. You take anyone in the goddamn world in Lee's weight class and put them up against Tyson and they are going down. Hard.

Yes, because if something's popular than the ONLY POSSIBLE reason that someone could ever dislike it is due to them hating it because it's popular.

Bruce Lee is a modern day figure of mythology. Lots and lots of claims as to his abilities, but no proof. And a lot of the things he was reported doing are, quite frankly, impossible.

I also think people are underestimating the difference size and pure strength makes. Leave it to the population of a video game forum to say something so incredibly ignorant as "size doesn't matter" There's a reason why weight classes exist in pretty much every combat sport there is: A heavyweight would absolutely destroy a lightweight nine times out of ten. Even if Tyson wasn't so damn good, I'd put most professional heavyweight fighters over Bruce Lee in a fight.

Now I'm not saying Bruce Lee isn't a very, very good martial artist, but the popular perception of the man makes him out to be some kind of magical superman who's physical feats were far greater than any man who's ever lived. This is simply. not. true.

I'm pretty sure Drew is the only non-ex-gamespot guy at Giant Bomb.

It's a Japanese game, but it's translated into English. There's no -chan or -kun in this language. A Japanese person speaking in English  wouldn't use them; the only person who would use them is a 12 year old girl who reads Naruto. Having them in the game is like the localization team randomly leaving some things untranslated.

Mechanically, the fusion system makes sense, yes. But for a game based around psychology and characterization, it's odd that the personae themselves act as little more than equipment for your main character. Contrast with something even like Pokemon, where your fighting creatures change, but also have a level of persistence. The Caterpie you get near the beginning of the game can stay with you until the very end and becomes somewhat of a character unto itself. Also, the transformations make (somewhat) logical sense. Caterpillar > Cocoon > Butterfly. It's always hard for me to decide who to swap out of my party, while in Persona it's like "This persona has the biggest numbers, so I choose it."

In this way, the player treats the pokemon more like party members, and less like weapons and armour.

Changes needed from Persona 4 to persona 5 (besides the obvious interface issues):

1)  A complete overhaul of the fusion system. I like the idea of putting dudes to make a more powerful dude, but I'd like more structure. In P4 it was like "I put in this cat and this Armoured warrior and GET... a snake thing? Well okay, I guess..." Make the system tighter with upgrade trees and paths. This would give more characterization to the personae as well, making them into more like upgradable characters instead of them just being easily replaceable collections of spells and stats.

2) Make the dungeons half as long or make them more interesting. 10 levels of identical corridors is not okay. Also, mix up the enemy design a bit more. Themed dungeons should really have themed enemies.
