The old Zoom multi-effect pedal had a setting called "Special Effects" that was very similar. Good lookin out.

Cool screen name if it's in reference to the books. I'm a huge Deathlands fan, which is of similar ilk.

FINALLY! Someone who gets it! I was beginning to wonder if I was the only person who has ever read those books.

I'd be thinking "Awesome, two more useless hierarchies bite the dust". Then I'd get high, do some yard farming, wave at my neighbors, and love my life.

I'm not specifically a steampunk enthusiast, but I do enjoy me some engineering DIY projects. I'd like to check out the book your referring to, sounds interesting.

Welcome to GB btw.

I'd have to say Tokyo Drift. I watched it three times in a row the first time I saw it. The first is nostalgic. 2 Fast 2 Furious wasn't bad, I liked the Roman Pearce character.

The others have been so-so IMO.

@LD50: Oh, I certainly don't hide my weirdness. I assumed it was welcome here. Anyway, I've taken the advice of the community (well, the majority) and walked away. And I'm not sure where the whole Jill and me dating thing started, but I assure you that's not my intent. I've stepped away from the friendship as well as the situation. Not the sorts of people I want to be involved with.

I was just giving you grief brother. I respect you for asking your peers for advice.

Synchronicity is the word you're looking for, I believe. Be chill about it, but you would do well to keep noticing things such as this. Just my opinion, of course.

Totally in agreement with PsychedelicET (nice screen name too).

My spiritual side says this is a personal experience demonstrating the connectedness of the universe.

My scientific side says that your brain is good enough to see the whole page of text you're reading and all the words on it. If you've listened to the audio before, it's aware of that landscape too.

I believe your brain could distract you long enough for the word in the audio to appear as you read the text. Reasons? It's a cool trick? Your brain thinks of it as art? Who knows.

My Giant Bomb side says..DID YOU WRITE THE FUCKING WORDS DOWN?!?

It's obviously an A.R.G. run by aliens, and that is likely a code to get off the planet when the catastrophe comes.

Bug Out Bag? Check. Next up, Ham operators license (thanks Vinny).

I blame romantic comedies for this situation.

None of those three ppl involved care, or even necessarily know about you.

It speaks more about your mindset than theirs. You seem a little obsessed with Jill to be totally honest dude.

I think you may be creating this drama in a attempt to get back in her life, but I don't think this will serve anything but to run her off.

GTFO of that place and work on yourself. ATTRACT another girl with your masculine handsomeness.

Also, you've exposed your weirdness to the Giant Bomb community, and it may be hours before we forget.

<big hug>
