OK. I see the Twitter synching feature is on the Account Summary tab, not on the Settings tab. Also, I noticed that GB news articles have the Twitter button at the top of the article and not at the bottom of the article text or down by the commenting box.

@MikkaQ: I was looking for some kind of Twitter account linkage setting on my GB account settings page, but I didn't see it in there. Is that something that's done in your Twitter account settings?

I just looked at the site activity feed, and I see a lot of user tweets in there. Are these tweets comments on news stories, or does the site just show every tweet made by GB users? Also, what is the mechanism by which these tweets get into the GB site activity feed? I don't see buttons for commenting via Twitter at the bottom of news articles.

Pardon my ignorance. I've never used Twitter.

People have developed mod software for Minecraft that can do stuff like scan a digital image and render in in minecraft block form. I assume this must have been done using some kind of mod software like that. Doing this manually would have taken years.

This would be great for me. I already subscribe to Comcast cable TV, but we only have one cable box hooked up to the TV in the living room downstairs. In my bedroom upstairs I can watch Comcast IPTV on my laptop, but it would be great to be able to have an app on my 360 so I can use watch IPTV on my 32 inch widescreen in the bedroom. Currently I just use it for gaming, but having access to all the TV I already pay for anyway would be great, especially without having to install another cable outlet and pay the monthly fee for another cable box.

The folded sheet of paper that is where the manual for this game should have been doesn't provide any info besides the standard controller layout, and there is no help section in the game where it gives you any hints about how to perform the non-standard executions. So how do you do a curb stomp, face punch, arm rip, etc.?

GameStop was still out and hadn't yet been restocked when I stopped by yesterday around 5:00pm. I went to a nearby Toys r Us store afterwards and was thrilled to find they had it in stock. They had them in a locked display case, so it was hard for me to tell if there was just 1 copy on the shelf or 2. There was another guy there who walked up to the display case right before I did, and he managed to find a clerk to get his game out of the case before I did. I was worried he was going to get the last copy of Dead Island, but it turned out he was there for a copy of NHL 12. I was so relieved! It turned out there was actually another copy of Dead Island behind the one I bought anyway. I'm sure it's probably gone now though.

It is sold out everywhere near me as well. Amazon now says "usually ships in 2 to 3 weeks." It's probably a good thing, though since the game is as buggy as hell. This way maybe it will be patched by the time I get a copy for my 360. If I can't get my hands on it before Rage comes out, I probably won't be interested in it anymore anyway.

I agree -- I tried the demo and was pretty disappointed.  It removes too much of the stuff I like about action-RPGs. It's way too dumbed down for my tastes.  The action is not exciting enough -- if you want that you are better off playing a game like Dante's Inferno, DarkSiders, Conan, or Viking.  If you want a loot and skill-progression based action-RPG you are better off playing Torchlight or Sacred 2.

This would have made more sense if doing this as an add-on instead of including these things as standard features of the base 3DS unit had allowed Nintendo to debut the 3DS with a much lower price than they did.  But somehow they still charged $249 for the base 3DS at launch, even without these things that one would think ought to be standard on a dedicated handheld platform.
