Very cool! I love how into it they are, even going so far as to remember certain story details. I'd be interested in seeing a 'where are they now' type thing, especially with the dude who played Johnny Cage.
I like the idea of having a cab exclusively for KOF, Mark of the Worves or Metal Slug, but so many of those games are available everywhere nowadays. How about some King of the Monsters? Anyone remember those games? Or just throw some World Heroes 2 in there. Those were the games that were at my local laundromat growing up.
@Milkman: If it has "intense tactical combat" it is nothing like Civ: Rev. I guess Firaxis could be lying though?
There's plenty of reason to speculate that Firaxis will use something similar to the simplified, though tightly knit design, of Civ: Rev. Essentially, Firaxis can boil down complex design into something that is more suitable for console gaming. Civ: Rev is the only thing we have to go on for Firaxis's console track record, so it's a proper analogy.
As far as the time restraints go, I'm certainly in the same boat. Holding down a full time job (which requires a lot of overtime) doesn't leave much time for me to enjoy as much content on Giant Bomb as I was able to at one point. However, longer content is much more appreciated. This is especially true for the Bombcast or the forthcoming Chrono Trigger endurance run. I don't always have time to watch or listen to this content, but I don't always have to watch or listen to the full video or podcast, either. If I feel I've gathered as much information as I need from the title, I can move on. Surely, people like the OP and I will miss out on content by choosing which pieces we choose to watch, but that's better than limiting the output generated by the crew.
I played an incredible amount of Syndicate, albeit on the Genesis, but I still think this looks great. I've been a big fan of Starbreeze and I hope this does well.
