I wouldn't feel right putting an explanation point at the end of this blog title, I know some people are extremely offended by the phrase "Get Hype!" and I figure it's because we're always yelling it at eachother. Maybe if it was posed as a question, people would get a warm fuzzy feeling instead. Buy anyway. 
 
Yeah, I got a Madcatz TE Fightstick, get hype! I'm going to be modding it with custom plexi, artwork, and hardware -- which will be documented on video. But until then, here's a video blog thing of me talking about it and touching it a bunch. Enjoy.

GET HYPE ALL THE WAY!  I use the TE stick as well and I fucking love it.  It's very good stick.

Congrats! The TE is an amazing piece of art. That Akuma template looks really kickass too!

The best usage of it so far has been the Street Fighter IV condom post. Get hype!  
 
Anyway, nice stick. I'd imagine it would feel very different just because of how heavy and wide it is compared to the SE.

It's one of many memes started by the fighting game/street fighter community itself. I feel it's taken on a whole new sub-section of meme on the GiantBomb Street Fighter IV forum however. It's always major hype when anybody gets a new fighting game controller. Duh.

If I had the TE stick I would get Hype. Personally, I wouldn't put artwork on it. Your other stick looked so much better when you took all the artwork off.

Yeah I got a TE as well, not modding it though. I plan on building a custom for fun instead, already got some parts.

It doubles as a coffee table, or at least that's all I really use it for. Something to put drinks on.

This is genius. I can just put a car alarm on it so whenever someone attempts to use it including me, a man yells at me to get away from the arcade stick for 20 seconds and then a loud siren goes off. That would probably help me focus on my game more.  edit: reading my own post, it seems like I'm saying that some random dude will walk up in my house and start yelling at me. "

I'm surprised you got a Round 2 though! A lot of online retailers have already started shipping them out in place of the originals. Don't worry though, you're not missing anything. Aside form the art (which you're replacing anyway), they're the exactly the same.

Congrats on getting a TE fightstick, I love the one I got, it's really a quality product. I'm personally not too interested in the idea of customizing my own stick but it sounds like you're really getting into it, it'll be interesting to see the finished project.
