nothing huge. I mean maybe the onset of junior year and how now is the time to think about the future is getting to him in a drastic way.

@MooseyMcMan: I'm mostly asking random internet people to maybe get some idea as to what they did in this situation. I'm going to make sure to talk to someone more knowledgeable about it as soon as i can.

So over the last few weeks my friend has gradually started to worry me more and more. He's lost his appetite, been barely sleeping if at all, been overcritical of himself, contemplating his place in life been in a fairly dark manner like "why the hell am i here?, i dont even know about anything anymore", and he's been just generally gloomy and dark. It pains me to see him like this as we've been friends since we were kids, but i think he's depressed. Me and my friend were thinking of waiting it out a few days to see if he clears up and if not talking to his parents about it. My question to you is, is this a good idea? can you speak from experience about what I should and should not do? any commentary would be greatly welcomed. Thanks.

I'm the most excited for Skyrim but I'm also getting Rage and MW3.
